Jc
This is me and JC having a talk. It wasn't going well. Done in watercolor, it's 3' by 5'. I burned the edges, then stitched it to a white background. (by Dan Henk, Cliff's Tattoo, Patchogue, NY) Submitted by iam:Deadguy

Aztec Skull
This is an old, crusty skull, garnished with the traditional Aztec eagle headdress, albiet weatherbeaten and corroded. I did this as a valentine's day painting for my wife. The original is 8" by 10", and done in oil. (by Dan Henk, Cliff's Tattoo, Patchogue, NY) Submitted by iam:Deadguy

Underwater City
I painted this as the back cover for the hardcore compilation A New Approach. It is loosely based off a dream I had, of drowning in the city at night. It features a hand, breaking the surface of the water, a city submerged in the depths. More metaphorical than literal, as if the whole monolith of the city were drowning me. I glued pieces of glass from a TV screen I smashed with a hammer on the edges. The original is 20" by 20", and painted in oil. (by Dan Henk, Cliff's Tattoo, Patchogue, NY) Submitted by iam:Deadguy

River Of Blood
This is a creature, not quite a man, walking in a river of blood. I did this as the cover for the Shai Hulud album Taht Within Blood Ill Tempered. They ended up (despite empty promises) not using it on the final album, although they used a bad print of it on a hoodie. (Cliff's Tattoo, Patchogue, NY) Submitted by iam:Deadguy

Ruined Skyline
This was done as the back cover of the Locked In a Vacancy album Exit The Futility Ward. It's the skyline of a ruined city, done in watercolor. It is about 20" by 20", but cropped at the bottom for a track listing. (by Dan Henk, Cliff's Tattoo, Patchogue, NY) Submitted by iam:Deadguy

The Shadow
The famous Conde-Nast pulp character The Shadow. Always a personal favorite of mine, here he is dueling in an alley, both guns drawn, entangled in smoke and a torrential downpour. The original is oil, 17" by 11". (by Dan Henk, Cliff's Tattoo, Patchogue, NY) Submitted by iam:Deadguy

Coalesce
I did this as a wrap around cover for the Coalesce album 012: A Revolution in Just Listening, released on relapse records. Of all the album covers I have done, Sean Ingram (the singer) and Coalesce were by far the coolest people I have dealt with. Their concept was that the realistic side represent two fetus, one that in intimidated by the world, and one that is unafraid and faces it dead on. They are joined at the center, and rotating in front of a giant eardrum. The original is in oil, 20" by 40", and has the smashed innards of a television set glued to the lefthand side. Shotgun Suicide
This is a man who committed suicide by placing a shotgun in his mouth. That's his head, on the floor off to the right. The original is 11" by 14", painted in oil, and at least partially based from a black and white photo in the book Death Scenes. (by Dan Henk, Cliff's Tattoo, Patchogue, NY) Submitted by iam:Deadguy
