>From what started out as your standard ear piercings soon turned into 15 different piercings, ranging from tongue venoms and a VCH.It was about this time that I found out that familiar prick of the needle was getting quite addictive.
Whilst looking on BME one day, I came across a few corset-piercing pictures, and I immediately fell in love. Although I enjoyed getting pierced, at first I thought that this piercing was a little too extreme, but it was something that was always on the back of my mind that I'd like done.
Fast forward a few months, I got talking to my boyfriend about corset piercings, and after showing him some pictures, he thought that it was a piercing that would look both look nice, and be an interesting experience to go through with. After thinking about the piercing more and more, and how much I would really like it done, we decided to go and see our local piercer Sean, to chat about what it would involve and to price it up.
A few weeks later, I headed back down to the piercing studio to see if I could set a date for the piercing. Both Sean and Matthew who work at the studio double-checked that I definitely wanted to go through with it, and we ended up ordering the needle tips, and 14 titanium BCRs.
So, three weeks later after constant trips to see if my jewellery and rings had arrived, I finally managed to set a date.
Matthew booked me in for ten o'clock so I could have the whole morning with Sean, and not feel rushed at all.
Finally the day came, I woke up at half 5 that morning filled with a mixture of excitement and nerves.
I made sure I had a good breakfast, and took some time to look at some more pictures before I got dressed and ready to go.
We arrived at the studio, and Matthew got me to sign my consent forms, before we headed into the back room to start marking my back up.
Originally I had my heart set on 14 rings, seven each side, however when we started to mark the placement for the piercings, Sean said that we might have a problem getting enough skin to pierce through at the top of my back since my skin is pretty tight, so we eventually agreed on ten rings, and once I was all drawn up, Sean got me to

Finally, we were ready to go. Starting on the left hand side of my back, Sean clamped me, and with a deep breath in, and then out and the needle went through - we were done!
The pain was nowhere near as bad as I had first expected, on a pain scale I would probably have to give in a three out of ten.
Taking plenty of pictures as we worked through, we soon came to the fifth ring down on my left hand side.
The needle went through no problem, but as Sean was inserting the jewellery, I moved my back, and both the needle tip and the ring fell out of the hole. Asking if I was ok, Sean told me that we would have to go back through the hole to get the jewellery through.
Taking a deep breath, Sean started to push the needle through, and I could hear Ryan cringing as I scrunched my face up and as the needle popped through the skin.
After what seemed like forever, we finally finished the last ring on the left side, so both Sean and me took a break to have a drink and chill out. By this time my brother had also come along to take some pictures and watch, and he seemed pretty freaked out by the line of rings sticking out of my back!
Moving onto the right hand side of my back, thinking we would start at the top of my back, I felt the needle start to go through the lower part of my back. Sean had decided to get the tougher ones out of the way, and work his way up.
The next few piercings were a breeze, I even found time to txt a few of my friends while they were getting done! Finally we came to the last piercing, and once it was done Sean began to clean my back.
With a bit of help getting up since my back felt strangely tight, I caught my back in the mirror, and it look beautiful.
We decided to lace it up with 2 meters of black ribbon, so whilst Sean was carefully threading the ribbon through the rings, we took plenty more pictures for both myself and the shop.
3 days on, and I couldn't be happier; Sean did a brilliant job and made me feel totally at ease. I think even he was pretty shocked at how well I coped. One thing that I enjoy about being pierced by Sean is not only does he do an excellent job of the piercing, and aftercare, but he makes me feel relaxed, and most of all makes the experience enjoyable.
