Dear Matt,

Well, we finally did it! Thanks to your guidance and advice, Alex & I play pierced for the first time last Wednesday.

On Sunday evening, after we'd seen you at Planet Ink, I practiced piercing with the 25GA syringe needles a few times on myself. I'm a firm believer in that one should never do to another what they are not prepared to do to themselves - especially when it comes to BDSM play or things like piercings. So while Alex was in the shower, I laid everything out in order, prepped my left forearm, and with my right hand, put 4 needles in my arm.

Then Alex was done her shower, and I was so excited, that I bounded out to the other room to show her! She giggled and got excited too, and said she couldn't wait for her turn!

Personally, I found it to be a fun sensation, not very painful and really cool to look at... it was going to be a long couple of days to wait! *chuckle*.

So then we planned ahead. On Wednesday evening, we came home after work, relaxed, had some dinner, then I gave her a nice warm bath to relax and clean up. We'd decide not to do it our first time in the context of D/S play so that we could both be relaxed and communicate freely.

I lit some candles, put on music and we flopped out on our bed and talked at length about how exactly we would do things, including location, depth and setting. We drew out it on paper first, deciding on where each needle would go and in what order. Once agreed, she lay out tummy down and I meticulously prepped the first site as you had taught me. I had spent half the day memorizing the procedure, saying over and over in my head, "alcohol, proviodine, alcohol..." - *grin*

The first one was a bit scary - her flesh had a different 'feel' than when I had pierced my own, but the needle went easily through - too easily, and I passed the point of 'good exit'. So I had to back out and reposition - this time I was able to exit correctly.

After that, it was a matter of learning how to exit correctly - how to

gauge when and where the needle would exit. I managed to work it out in just about 3 piercings, much to her happiness, I'm sure, but I still need a bit more practice, and I think I still need a lot more before I attempt to pierce in the context of D/S play. Anyways, we did a total of nine needles as a 'sampler', 2 in each corner of the back and one in the back of the neck. I had started on her right shoulder, moved to her left shoulder, then to her lower back, left and then right. We finished with the one in her neck.

We stopped there and she tried moving around (walking and sitting in various positions) with the needles in place. Some, she said, were feeling a bit 'weird' due to their shallow exit and on one other, the tip was poking her skin when she moved. After about 10 minutes of that, she lay tummy down again and we went about removing them.

Turns out removing the needles also had a bit of a learning curve - seems I was pulling them a bit too quickly. After the first two or three needles, Alex asked me to slow down the extraction, so that she could better relish the sensation. So I took my time, and she told me it was much better, the slower I went.

Afterwards, there were no more than the tiniest spots of blood, indeed, there were barely any marks at all. I used the gauze on the site as I removed each needle, then swabbing with alcohol after to insure it was clean. Later that evening, as she lay on her back, she said she could feel warmth in the sites that she'd been pierced and that it was a very soothing, almost 'ghostly' feeling.

She reported that she loved every moment of it and that the sensations were not at all painful, but rather most pleasant - even when I 'botched' the first one. Alex, too, will take her turn piercing me - sooner than later, I hope!

Matt, thanks again for your time, patience and the 'starter kit'! You've helped make this an absolutely safe and positive adventure for us both, and we're ecstatic to have discovered this awesome experience - definitely something we intend to repeat and hone our skills at. We also intend to experiment with larger gauges later on...

I hope to come visit you soon to get more mods for Alexandra and myself and to say thanks in person!

Sean
