This is my first professional play piercing experience. Done on Sunday Nov. 2nd 2003 at the "Meeting of the Marked" tattoo convention in Pittsburgh, PA, done by Dee Sharps from B-52 Tattoo out of Brooklyn. I have play pierced by myself in my bedroom, on the school bus, and in school during lunch and in classes, that's another story for another time. I started talking to Dee about her pierced "Beanie Babies," and she mentioned she had brought her things to hopefully do some play piercing, but had not gotten to. Being one for needles, pain {although it really does not hurt}, being the center of attention, cause people to be sick, and just really good fun, I asked if she'd like to do some now. And it began.

I sat down, she started setting up, prepared my right arm, and put her gloves on. Next she pinched around my inner arm, then the outside of my arm, deciding on which side to work on. We decided to do something with a {William Webb? Flash design} tattoo of a demon with flaming hair that's on my lower forearm. The first was placed below the goatee of my demon {just above where the wrinkle forms when I bend my wrist upwards}. The second (2) needle was inserted like two (2) centimeters above the first, and I began to think to myself " ah the pleasures of the needle." Then she stopped stared at my arm for next location. She grabbed the next needle pulled it out of its containers and pierced the left ear of my demon. I giggled and told her "good thinking," then she did the same with the right side. We stopped looked at the design some more and I said she should do the septum, { I have an obsession with a septum even before I got mine pierced} then we decided to just do a cl uster of needles in his hair of flames.

So the clustering began, she got five into my arm, and on the fifth she did not like placement of the exit point, so she pulled the needle out half way, and it began to bleed {I was so glad to see my blood } and it would not stop bleeding, nothing major but a descent amount considering the holes is so damn small. She looked at me and asked if I had been drinking and I looked back at her, and with a low tone replied "of course it's a tattoo convention"

She looked around for something for me to bleed on for when we started taking the needles out incase I bled a lot. So we got a stainless tray with a descent lip around the entire thing. After that we went back to sticking needles into my body.

She put two more in the cluster and asked if I wanted to keep going cause she ran out of needles. I said sure but that it was up to her, so she took her gloves off and went to get more needles, mean while I looked around and noticed a small group of people about five (5) to seven (7)standing around watching and a blond chick sat down beside me and asked why we {myself and Dee } would do that, I replied because I was in a pissed off mood and stuff like that helps me out. Dee said she just likes to hurt people :):P. The lady asked what it felt like and I told her more or less it feels like having a hair ripped out of your arm. So she proceed to rip a hair out of her arm. I began laughing and Dee told me not to my arm cause she was getting ready to stick me.

So I went back to watching the needles poking through the skin traveling through my skin {if you have ever seen the movie "Tremors" , the scenes where the worms would come after someone and you'd see the ground being pushes up by the worms, that's what it looked like } and pushing through the other side. I looked around again while Dee got another needle, and saw my boss walking slowly up the row checking out what booths had not been broken down yet, so I sent one of the nice people staring over to get him. So a few minutes later my boss shows up I look at him and tell him to go get the camera, cause I want some pictures of my arm to put of the shop web site. So while Dee continued to put needles in me he ran go the camera and started taking some pictures {which hopefully be on our shop web site soon}.

Finally Dee stuck my with the last needle, and stood back. I looked down and stared, marveled and feeling slightly euphoric. Dee looked around and asked if anyone had counted and a silence feel. So I placed my arm down onto the tray and told her to pull them out and that I'd count that way. Now's when the alcohol comes into play. Dee pulls the first needle that was put in out {the right about my wrist} and blood flows out and down my wrist. Next she pulls the one right above first one out and blood flows out and down the other side of my wrist. Almost all at once the group of people watching gasped, I smiled to the gasps and pulled my wrist up close to my face and licked from mid-forearm up to my wrists cause yet another but little louder of a gasp, of course the blood licking was completely for shock value. Dee starts working in the cluster taking needles out and with ever needle there's more blood. After what only seemed to me a second all the needles were out of me an d there was a nice pool of blood in the tray. AND THE GRAND TOTAL a mere twenty two (22) needles .

I was so disappointed when it was only twenty two (22), but the joy of my very first professional play piercings toke over. I helped her clean up a little bit, and she mentioned she would like to start a nice play piercing scene, remembering that the boss takes us all to N.Y.C. once a year every year I got her email and a few business cards for B-52 {just incase I lose one}. Then my boss and I left the convention and went to a friends house from some food, and drinks, the whole time I was in slight euphoria {about two hours}.

So I think my first professional play piercings time went great, and was a total blast. It was a lot more fun then it was when I was doing it on the bus or in class, but unfortunately the shock value was a lot more intense in school :P . . .
