Nape

But as time went on I became inlove with piercings. I already had my traguses pierced with my my lobes stretched and my labret and tounge web pierced.
So I decided after a while that I wanted a new piercing. I kept looking into nape piercings and by then my perspective about them had changed. I had now totally loved them and wanted one. But my only problem was that I didnt want the same piercing as the girl at my school.. but later on I found out that she took hers out due to infection.
I talked to her about her expierence and she told me that when she got it done that the pain was overwhelming. I was now a little sceptical about it.. but a month went by and as I read stories on here, some people said that the pain of the needle going through their skin was the worst, and others said it didnt hurt at all. And it was all the same when it came to cleaning, people used salt water to clean it, and by the sounds of the stories I had read, it sounded like the nape was a hard piercing to keep.
But I wanted it so I talked my mother into letting me get it done.
So finally one day after summer school she took me and my best friend downtown to get it. I was so nervous in the car and was beggining to have second thoughts. But once I entered the shop.. I was totally fine and I wasnt nervous at all.
When I entered the shop there was no one in there except for 3 people who worked there.
The lady at the counter asked me what I wanted done and I told her I wanted my nape. She asked me to turn around and she grabbed the skin on my neck and said ok thats good. We filled out the forms and paid.
It was $75 for the initial piercing but then we had to buy after care and stuff so total it came to $102.60.
The piercer came out and asked me how old I was and I told him I was 15. He said that I should wait but I told him that I would take my chances. He then went in the little room were you get pierced and he began to set up.
About 10 minutes later he came and got me and my best friend and I went in.
He spent most of the time marking out the spot and spinching my skin,
he asked me to stand up so he could look and then I sat back down.
The clamps went on my neck and he told me that this would be the worst part.. but I didnt even feel them.
He told me to take a deep breath in and as I did he pushed the needle through.. It didnt hurt at all!! I was so suprised.
He asked me if I was okay and I said I was perfectly fine.
My friend was behind me watching him do it and as he put the barbell in my neck then it began to bleed. It bled like crazy and the little tray were his tools were was now covered in little towels soaked in blood. He finshed cleaning the blood up and wiped it up and put some stuff on it and told me i was done. I moved my neck every wich way and it didnt hurt one little bit. He showed it to me in the mirror and my god.. it was the most beautiful thing. It was perfect.
I thanked him and we left, I showed my mother and she just quivered.
I am soo happy with my nape. It couldnt be any better. The first day I couldnt even tell it was there, the next two days my neck was stiff and sometimes sore, but that went away.
For cleaning all I did was use the after care q-tips a few times a day and when I showered just letting the warm water run over it felt good, and at the end of the shower I used Trisan to remove any oil or shampoo that might be on my skin.
It will be exactly 2 weeks tomorrow, and It has healed perfectly.
Its no longer red, its not stiff at all, and I always clean it in the morning and at night and a few times during the day.
If you are thinking of getting this piercing, I strongly reccomend it.
Good Luck & Thanks for reading :)
