Ok well...I'm a very...piercing person, as I guess everyone on this website is. So...I had my ears pierced and stretched, but it just wasn't enough.

I've always wanted a kind of...different piercing. My parents are extremely strict also, so it's limited to my ears or something I can hide. Until now, I hadn't been ballsy enough to get a secret piercing, because if they found out there'd be major consequences. Damn parents with their rules....anyway.

Me and my friends had brainstormed ideas for piercings for me, they had to be hidden but somewhere I wouldn't mind bearing to a guy with a needle in his hand. So we decided (well, I guess I decided) to get my cleavage pierced.

I had planned to get my cleavage pierced before, (without parental consent) but I was waiting for Charlie (my body piercer) to get in some tygon because it's the best for surface piercings.

There was no luck with the tygon but he had some PTFE. I was all up and ready for it, ready to go...the appointment had been made, sufficient freaking out...

And suddenly he realised he'd left the PTFE at home...dammit!!! I was a bit pissed and disappointed as I'd been bracing myself and it turned out to be such an anticlimax. By a stroke of sheer luck, my friend who was with me had her nape pierced. She'd had it for about a year and it was starting to reject but she was having trouble getting rid of it because it was such a part of her, she was really attached to it. She loved me enough to sacrifice the PTFE bar from her nape for my piercing.

This was a big deal, as it's a really beautiful piercing, but she needed to do it.

This also made it a bit more special...my good friend piercing me, and my very good friend giving me her bar.

So...with no further ado...

We went up to the studio...and he marked out the spots. I had to slip my singlet down so he could see properly, yeah yeah, it was all cool except my guy friend couldn't come up because Little Mick (owner) was there and he probably didn't want a guy to watch. I dunno. Anyway. Purple dots between my boobs...I started freaking out.

I always freak out about things like this but I never end up chickening out.

All the sterilisation measures had been gone through, he changed his gloves a few times, the bar had been totally sterilised...blah blah blah but I wasn't paying too much attention to the technical stuff.

So once the marking was done, I lay down on the bed thingy. Holding my friend's hand...freaking out totally. He asked me if I was ready. I was, I guess.

The needle went through and I won't lie, it hurt a lot but I'm not used to piercings so I don't know what to expect. My friend who's also had this piercing reckons it didn't hurt much at all, but I guess it's different for different people.

I was trying not to concentrate on the pain, but when the needle exited my skin again it hurt quite a bit. I think it was more painful than the beginning. I wasn't looking...and I didn't even notice him put the bar in. Yes, everyone says that. I guess I was just lying on that bed waiting for him to tell me it was all over so I could let my breath out. It bled a bit, bit I've always been a bit of a bleeder. He used a few cotton buds on it but I wasn't fussed about it being that clean, I just wanted to leave it alone.

Once that was cleaned up, it was all good. It didn't hurt that I can remember, any time after the actual piercing. Like seriously...fifteen minutes after this piercing was done, there was nothing except maybe a dull throb or something. I didn't even feel like I had a new hole in me.

All in all this was a pretty awesome experience. People loved it, I loved showing it off. When Charlie was taking a photo for his portfolio the other guys gave him some weird looks (ha ha) but he explained...it's a piercing. When I went home (with a different shirt on of course) nobody noticed for the whole time I had it in. I recently took it out as it was starting to do some yucky scars for some reason, Charlie told me to take it out. But I really like this piercing, I think I'll get it done again, longer this time. That's gonna hurt even more, all that scar tissue. The best part was that I didn't have to pay a cent for it, hah!!! Awesomeness. So it was fun while it lasted.
