I absolutely love my new back of the neck piercing. I think its called a nape piercing. I recommend this to everyone!!

I had long hair and decided I would only get it done if I had my hair short so that people could see the piercing. I chopped my hair off a few months later and forgot about getting the piercing until about 1wk ago. I am a very irrational person and upon driving through Perth city saw a very well known tattoo and piercing parlor called Exotic piercing and said to my husband "I should get my neck pierced". To which he replied "why don't you". I went into the parlor to enquire about the price and knew that once I heard the price there would be no turning back.
The guy who greeted me was soooo nice. I asked him how much and he said $80AUS which included piercing, jewellery, treatment, and checkups, and if I had any problems I can pop in at any time and they would take care of it for me. I knew if I said I would think about it I would never end up getting it, so I asked if I could get it now, and started filling out paperwork.
Sitting and filling out the forms was hard when my hand was shaking. I don't have a very high tolerance to pain, and was worried about it. I asked the guy who served me if it hurt, and he said he has 3 on the back of his neck and he slept on it the night he got them. Which was very re-assuring, if he said it hurt I would have been outta there!!
I waited a few minutes and was finally called into the room. Everything was so clean and I sat on the seat. For some reason I thought I would have to lie on my stomach, but I sat up which was easier. Jason (I think is his name - I couldnt read his writing) drew a line on my neck and used a measure thingy to line up where the entry and exit points would be, the bar was a lot longer than I thought it would be and I didnt dare look at how thick or long the needle was. I checked the dots and was happy where they were, so sat back down on the seat. I couldnt stop talking! I was so nervous, I was finally doing something I had always wanted and couldnt believe I was going through with it. Jason was excellent, he kept trying to calm me down and didnt rush me at all.
When the piercing happened, I felt a sting and heat and then nothing, and then it stung when it came out the other end. That was it! I felt nothing after that. I was sooo happy. I couldnt stop smiling and showing people. I cant believe how well I was looked after at Exotic. I highly recommend them to anyone!
The day after my piercing I was twisting my neck because the muscles were sore from sleeping a little too carefully, and I felt a trickle down my front, I felt it with one finger and saw blood. Panicking I went to my hubby, who was still asleep, and asked him to check it. He told me to get into the shower, so I did, by this stage the blood was coming down my chest and all down my back. It probably looked worse than what is was because the water was spreading it, hubby tried cleaning it up but ran to the toilet throwing up, which freaked me out even more! I started feeling light headed and just about passed out. I laid on my bed, blood all over me, and waited for hubby to come help. He cleaned me up and we headed straight back to Exotic.
They cleaned me up so well, and I havnt had a problem since. Its only been one week and i have had no pain at all. I havnt bled again since the first day.
RECOMMENDED - dont twist your neck around to much a day after the piercing, I dont regret at all getting it done, and am thinking about adding to my accessory. NO PAIN AT ALL - I love what it looks like!!
When someone asks me "Why" I simply answer, I didnt want to reach 80 years old, and think, damn I wish I had gone through with that!
