Id say as a person when it comes to piercings im up for anything, preferably if its something a bit different. It all started when I was 3 years old and my mum took me to get my ears pierced, I think if she would have know that by he letting me have my ears done she was starting a mini fetish she wouldn't have let me have them done !!!! So now 13 years later I was walking past a body piercing study with my sister and best friend matthew. Id wanted the back of my neck doing for sometime and was always talking about it so when I saw the studio I thought why not. I walked up the stairs and dean the tattoo and body piercer welcomed me, I described what I wanted doing and he said no problem. He asked me to come back in 20 minutes because he was half way through a tattoo. That was the worst 20 minutes of my life, it slowly went by, I saw the man who was getting his tattoo done leave the studio. If I was going to chicken out now was the time, i stood up and began walking.

I could hear my sister and matthew outside talking which calmed me because I knew they were there if I needed them. He put on his rubber gloves as i sat in the chair he lowered my head forward, it took longer to measure up and get the dots in the right place than for the actual piercing. Whilst marking up dean was talking through after care. He kept making jokes which relaxed me, and doing the whole 'so how old are you and where do you live' just to make sure I was 16 and id put down the right address.
When he had finished marking me up he sprayed antiseptic and cleaned the back of my neck. He took the needle out of the packet in front of my face to show me that it was fresh and that it hadn't been used before. He then put numbing spray on which I felt trickle all the way down my back. It was freezing and felt sharp. After a few minutes he put my head in the position and lowered my chair, he put the clamp on and left it of for about 5 seconds, as each second went the pain got worse until finally he pushed the needle through which was more of a relief than a pain. It felt quiet nice as the pressure was replaced by a cold bar. I prepared myself for something much worse. All i can remember doing is sucking air through my teeth. even though it was numbed I still felt everything. I could still hear my sister and matthew outside, I couldn't wait to show them dean was laughing when he was done saying I was what he would call one hard bastard because I didn't cry or let out a scream. He cleaned me up and told me to come back and see him in 2 weeks to make sure it was healing ok and so he could change the jewelery. I stood up and moved my head from side to side, I couldn't feel it. Dean gave me a mirror so I could inspect his handiwork, I loved it immediately. It was a little red but that calmed down after about ten minutes and it didn't bleed at all. I walked out of the room to be greeted by my sister and matthew both 'oh my godding' and telling me how cool it looked. I felt happy because I was only ever thinking about getting it done I never thought I would actually go through with it.
I got home and showed my dad and he laughed and said it looked cool. I went to my mum's work and showed her and she screamed, she went inside and got all her work mates to come to the window so they could have a look, they were all saying I was crazy and how they could never get that done ! I like how it shocks people, its nice to show them something they have never seen before.
I recommend any body to get their nape pierced, as it looks beautiful when its done. It was my 13th piercing out of 14 and its one of my favorites. Also most people gasp and are shocked when they see it as it isn't a conventional piercing, you can tell by there reaction that they aren't going to run off and get it done themselves. So if you like having something different to everyone else get your nape done :):):):)
