The last time I was ever on this web site, I was looking at the pictures of Madison piercings because I wanted one so badly! From what I read about this piercing, it was supposed to have hurt really badly, But I wasn't worried about the pain.

I remember calling the guy who does my piercings, and asking him about the madison, and he said that he would do it if I REALLY wanted the piercing, but he warned me that most of them reject and that every one that he has ever done it on, has passed out, because of the natural shock of getting a piercing in such a sensitive area. But I wasn't worried about passing out.

The first time I got it was in December. I remember not being nervous at all, and I also remember laying there, hoping that I wouldn't pass out, so just in case I did, the piercer closed the door so no one could watch me pass out. I remember feeling how painful it was, but honest to goodness, not as painful as an industrial bar (in my opinion!) But that was just the first time.

About three months later, it ended up rejecting, so I took it out and let it close. I went back about three weeks later, and he re-pierced it, thinking that it would stay this time! And honestly, the second time hurt worse than the first time, because the plan for it to stay, is to pierce under the scar tissue so when it attempts to reject again, it will have no where else to go because the scar tissue is dead. So yeah, piercing through or under scar tissue is more painful and a hell of a lot more bloody!

Then, about a month ago, it started to try and reject AGAIN! so I got a "check up" and he took it out again. Then, I asked him if it was normal for it to reject more than once, and he told me that it rejects up to three to four times! At that I was shocked, and wondered if it is really worth it.....I still think it is. So then I took it out AGAIN and just last monday I got it re-pierced for the third time, and of course it was painful. That is one thing I can't stand. When some one goes and gets something pierced, then someone asks if it hurts and they say no, they are fucking liars! HELLO! Piercing goes with pain like peanut butter goes with jelly! But any ways, I am in for the long hall. It has already rejected twice, and I am waiting for two more, so in the mean time, I am enjoying it while I have it. Oh yeah, and if you're reading this because you are thinking about getting a madison, go for it! I am not trying to scare anyone out of getting one, I am just trying to let you know what a crazy time I am having with mine. I still love my madison more than any other piercing on my body. It is my baby, and I still totally think it's worth it and wouldn't change it for anything!!!!!

The reaction I get from my piercing is more often than not "Oh my god, that is disgusting!" But I don't care. It's hilarious when you catch someone just staring and staring at it. But I can't get angry and say "what the fuck are you staring at?" Because I know good and well what they are staring at. Even then, I would not change for the world!! I have had so much fun with my madison!

And for any one who is seriously thinking about getting a madison, and you are close to Upland in California, I recommend Mr. Jim Kearney from Classic Tattoo. He is pretty cool, and he pierces a mean neck! I remember reading the before and after experiences of others who have gotten a madison, so maybe I'll tell you my after-experience too. Right after the needle went through my skin, it hurt for like 10 seconds. Then after that I couldn't feel a thing. I remember, because he asked me how I felt and I said pretty good, and that I couldn't even feel it any more, almost like it had gone numb, but I sure felt it in the morning, but not as horrible as you might think. For about a week, my neck was stiff, because I tried to move my head as little as possible, and it hurt like fuck in the shower! Remember that it is STILL there, even when you are washing yourself, because the first time I got it done, I got the ring caught on a fucking loofah sponge because I forgot that I had it! also, if you ever have to get it re-pierced, I should let you know that its more painful when the needle is going through scar tissue, but the healing process is not as bad as when it is a fresh pierce for the first time, I think because the same puncture wounds have already been through the healing process, so it won't feel that bad.And also don't worry about the passing out thing, because even though he said that I might, I haven't yet...Except the first time I got it done, I started feeling hot, and my ears and face got a bit red, so I just relaxed there for like fifteen minutes until my pulse was back to normal and then I went home. So I hope you have as much fun with your madison as I'm having with mine!!!!!!!
