It all started when I was going through BME looking at surface piercings (my friend got me into them) and I saw a nape piercing for the first time. I was like that's sweet! I knew that I liked it but I was not exactly sure that I wanted it done. You know? Any who. So I was talking to my wonderful boy toy about it and he was like no way and I was kind of upset but I got over it you know? Plus I knew that I could talk him into letting me since he is not the boss of me right? So finally the day came where he said yes. I was jumping for joy.yes I know I'm dumb. So then the day came.......

My boyfriend picked me up from my house and we went to the mall. We walked around there for about a couple hours (it's a BIG mall) and then it was finally time to go get my piercing. We went to the car and pulled out a map to see which piercing place would be closest ( I did my research on all the places and had it narrowed down to two). So when we decided on the one in Henrietta we looked how to get there and then drove there.
When we got there it was packed!(what do you expect for going there on a Saturday) I was so nervous! The stories I read said that this is a painful piercing and then others said it was not.. I did not know what to believe.! So after about a half an hour of waiting we finally asked the SEXY guy at the counter for the paperwork that I had to fill out. So, then I did all of that and then we gave it to him with my ID to scan on the back of the paper. I got that back and then we walked around looking at jewelry and tattoo pictures until the lady (my piercer) came to measure my neck. She did that and then made my jewelry out of PTFE..( I think that's what its called)..
Any who after about another hour of waiting she had finally called me back. I got to watch her sterilize the jewelry and put the needle in the ointment stuff. So it was time to mark me up. She grabbed a sharpie marker and placed the first to dots.. they were to low then she felt my neck and placed the second dots and changed them around until they were straight (this took like 10-15 minutes) so then she was showing the apprentice, Tina, that was in the room with us, why she put them where she did and had her feel my neck and all of that junk. Then came the placing of the needle she lined it up to the dot and again showed tina how to do this, told me to lean my head forward a bit and then I felt a slight stinging. It was half way through. She told me to take a deep breath in and out and then pushed it out the other end. Now I don't know why people thing that this piercing is painful because it really is not. It was a little sting and that's it. So then came the jewelry. Again.. a deep breath in and a long breath out through the mouth. This did not hurt either (surprisingly). So after it was all said and done she cleaned me up, I had a look in the mirror(s) and we were on our way to the main room to get aftercare instructions. It was basic sea salt soaks, etcetera.
Next we went to his house and I got my sea salt back that he took when he got his vertical tragus (that looks amazing on him I might ad) and then we did some stuff that I'm not saying and then we went to my house. Now I had to be careful to keep this from my mommy and daddy and brother. So then he finally left and then I went to take a shower. I was scared that I was going to bump it while taking off my shirt or something. But I did not but in the shower I was very careful washing my hair and washing it with dial soap. Then after my shower I washed it with sea salt for the first time. That was adventurous. He he. So then I went up stairs to go to bed and I did not know how to lay. Its really uncomfortable to lay on my side and on my tummy. I did not know what to do. I tried my side and It worked. The bad part is I woke up on my neck. Ouch! Anyways.
So, if you want to get a nape piercing. Get it! Its awesome and some of the reactions you get are amusing! Have fun and happy piercing!!!!
