Introduction
This article is describing my selfdone hand web piercing.
Usually I am a bit of a pussy when it comes to hurting myself but after my first selfdone Prince Albert piercing I got proud of myself and figured out it really didn't hurt so much.
What you do to your body is not so bad and dangerous after all.
I currently work as a builder and in that job you get hurt pretty much. You bang your fingers with a hammer a couple of times a day and you get scratches and things like that. Those accidents are probably a lot worse than piercing yourself. When you are piercing yourself Intentionally you are a bit more careful about what you put in your body and how clean that needle or tool or whatever you use is.

It all started with that I got a piercing needle from a friend. It was in a unopened package like piercing needles are so it was clean which is very important!

Slowly getting to the point
As I always wanted to have a hand web piercing I thought I could do it myself because I went to the piercing studio here and asked them if they could give me such a piercing but they said no.
The reason they didn't want to give me that kind of pierce was because they helped a guy that did that to himself. He needed their help because he did something wrong I guess. They said he got a ball of cartilage where the hand web is located. Anyone understands that's nothing you want and it makes you more or less handicapped.
At that time I trusted their advice and stopped wanting a hand web piercing. Now when I've seen so many done it I don't care as much anymore. So I decided to try pierce it myself but on my left hand as I don't use that hand as much as my right hand, that means I am right handed.

The tools I used:
¤ 16Ga and 2" needle
¤ a plier
¤ some jewelry
¤ Helosan (Swedish name of a cream you use for skin)

I took the needle, and the plier. The plier I need for pulling my hand web skin. The needle I put in my mouth and I aimed and slowly pulled it through. (as I said, I don't dare to just pull it through fast, I do it slowly, eventually that is mostly even worse.) It sting a bit but less than I thought it would.
Good to know is that this flesh and skin is pretty hard so when you pull and push the needle through the flesh and skin it hurts pretty much and you need to use pretty much strength to get it through. Now, this piercing bleeds pretty much. I noticed it's pretty hard to put the jewelry in when it is bleeding. But I also learned that it is pretty good to know what the size of the jewelry is before you get pierced. I didn't.

Gauges or Millimeters
It's like this, I live in Sweden, here and in the rest of Europe we use millimeters when we are talking about the size of the needle or the jewelry concerning piercing. So, that confused me and I realize don't have any jewelry that fits into the piercing I just did myself. As you maybe can understand this makes me kind of furious but what can I do? I decide that I will live with this mistake and maybe do it again instead.

Healing
The hole I made didn't seem to be very very good either, so I guess it was pretty good I didn't have any jewelry home that fit into it. What I mean when I say the hole wasn't very good is that I pierced too far into the skin so I kind of pierced through too much skin or if you wanna call it flesh. The skin in your hand web kind of have layers which moves around a lot. I don't know if this explanation makes any sense to you but I hope it does. Anyways, the hole is healing good and it doesn't seem to be any problems at all. It doesn't hurt unless you push the ingoing and outgoing holes.

Worth to know
When I made my Prince Albert piercing I had the same gauge on the needle as the needle I used when piercing my hand web. But with that piercing in my genital I was able to pull the jewelry through anyway because the flesh that the cockhead is made of is so soft it can expand a bit. That gives us the conclusion that it doesn't always have to be the right size of the jewelry. But obviously the best thing is to use the right size of the jewelry, or as when piercing tongues to use jewelry that is bigger than the tongue so the tongue can swell a bit. But piercing a tongue is a whole other story.

That's the whole story. I hope it can help someone.
Be careful with what you do.
