I initially decided I wanted a new mod because a) I was sick of the sight of my nose stud that was so small it was just pointless and b) my labret had totally mangled my gum and having paid huge orthodontists fees to sort out my mangled teeth, my mum was not overly impressed with the damage. Besides, I'd had it for a year, to many other people had got it done and I needed to give my fellow pupils something new to poke and yank at every available opportunity.

However, the first time I saw a picture of someone with this piercing, I wanted it then and there! However, then and there would usually involve me, a drawing pin and some boiling water (oh so hygienic and overly stupid I know) and I didn't really see this method as appropriate to pierce my eyebrows. Its not really an appropriate way to pierce anything. Anyway, I'm not just talking about normal eyebrow piercings; I mean 1 horizontal piercing on each brow/temple. I still haven't decided where they are actually placed as they start where my brow finishes and follow the curve down. There's a picture on BME somewhere with a girl that has them anyway if you, like most people, have no idea what I'm on about.
I got my new mods about 4 weeks ago at a place called Classic Tattoo in Apsley in Hertfordshire. If anyone lives even remotely near there, trust me, it's the best place for miles around as I've been to most places around there and to be honest, the rest of them were quite naff and all managed to bodge my piercings up somehow! Anyway, the thing that made me go there in the first place was because my lil' sis had gotten her Madonna and eyebrow done there and I was always impressed with the results (you would be to if your piercer had messed up your nipple 3 times).
Anyhow, it was just a random Saturday when I decided that I was going to get it done. However, I had to endure a day of shopping before hand. Me and 2 of my best friends wandered around Watford and ended up buying a foot spa, as you do. I practically dragged them down to the train station, just catching the earliest train. We jumped off at Apsley and I basically wanted to run to classic tattoo, however, my friends had other plans that mainly involved them walking ever so slowly whilst moaning about how far it was. We also had to stop every 2 minutes as my friend's trousers have a habit of coming undone. We had to wait for ages before a woman appeared from the back room and asked me what I wanted done. I produced a picture, as my descriptions are known for being a little vague and generally confusing. She took it back into the room with her and showed the piercer, Kneill. I heard him saying stuff like did I know it would probably grow out quickly etc. She came out and asked m e these questions and then told me he couldn't do it today because he had 2 more tattoos to do and it was about 5 already. I was well non-plussed but agreed to an appointment the next Saturday. Just as I was about to leave, she reappeared and told me that he would do it now because they still had to make up the needles for the tattoos. I was overjoyed to say the least!
I went into the back room and found myself in something resembling a doctor's surgery. Kneill it turns out was a big guy whose face was filled with black titanium. He spent ages marking my brows up, changing and moving them the tiniest amount about 20 times, literally. When we were both eventually satisfied that they were evenly placed he told me to lie back and relax. He cleaned the skin with some sort of alcohol I'm guessing and got out the jewellery and needles. All the while he was changing his gloves and checking I was ok and didn't feel weird or anything. He then told me that I wouldn't feel a thing as he was going to freeze the skin first. I was happy to say the least, I'd never been keen on the idea but since overly painful bodged nipple incident I was more that a little cautious of pain in any amount.
While he had been doing the placement etc, I had realized something; I didn't like people being around my eyes. I told Kneill and he laughed and told me to shut my eyes. I then felt this deliciously cold stuff running on my face and brows where soon numb. I felt him doing lots of tugging around and just when I was starting to think what the hell is he doing he informed me "that's one done". I was like whuh? He then started the same procedure on my right eyebrow, I felt the same tugging and that's it, over! He told me I could sit up whenever I was ready, which I did straight away. I looked in the mirror and all I could say was wow! He called one of his friends in to take a look, and they both stood there admiring them for ages while I just sat there with this stupid grin on my face. When I was finally allowed out my friends were also well impressed with them. After talking to random people in the waiting room for a bit, I decided to pay up and go. I coughed up my £60 (sob) an d gave it to the woman. Although this was the most I've ever paid it was definitely worth it and I'm going back to Kneill in about 2 weeks to get 2 more bars put in my navel. Ill let you know if Kneill keeps up his high standards! Anyway I've had no problems except one has grown out a bit but seems to have settled for a while now!
