So I am trying something new here. This is my experience about piercing SOMEONE ELSE, instead of an experience about ME getting pierced. Well, for a little background, I own and operate "Guess Where Body Piercing" in Spokane, Washington. I have been doing body modifications since I was about 16 (In case you are wondering, I got an apprentaship so early on because I basically lied, which you should never do!)
Anyway, about a year ago, I had seen several corset piercings done, and I instantly fell in love with them. In case you don't know, a corset piercing is a set of piercings on your back, with a ribbon tied through them, thus resembling the back of a corset! But the thing is, no one in my area does anything beyond "bread and butter" piercings (i.e. tongue, navel, eyebrow, etc.) and that's about all most people here get done. So needless to say, it took a little while to find someone who actually WANTED a corset piercing, but I eventually did.
A friend of a friend (her name was Lexi) came to me and told me that she wanted the corset piercing done, which made me very happy! We sat down and talked about how it would go, and I told her that they are usually done with either ten, eight, or six rings total. I also told her that for her back, I thought eight rings (four on each side) would look the best> She also agreed.
So we set a date to do it, and that way I had time to go out and select the ribbon we would be using to do it. Lexi had said that she wanted a red ribbon, which was fine with me. So the date came, and I had the ribbon, and all the necessary materials to do it, so we got started.
I was using eight 14 gauge 1/2" captive bread rings in her back, and then I would lace the ribbon. I started by having Lexi lay on her stomach, and taking off her top. I then cleaned off her back, and thoroughly measured it and marked it. This actually took a while, because I wanted this to be perfect, and I had to play with the marks a little to get them all to look perfect. The four rings on each side would each be in like a ) and ( shape. So after all the marking was done, I was ready to begin with the actual piercing.
I clamped the first mark, told Lexi to take a deep breath in, and a breathe out slowly. I then pushed the needle through, and corked the end. I removed the clamps and asked her how that was. She simply replied "Fine. It didn't hurt that bad." So I then continued with the other seven piercings, putting in the captive bead ring after each one. After all was said and done, I had her stand up.
It had turned out great! All the marks were even, and besides the redness from it just being pierced, it looked great! So I then proceeded to put the ribbon in, making sure that it was all even, and I tied it off at the top. It was then completed, and before me was something I considered not as much a piercing, but more a work of art that I had created!
Unforetunately, the piercing did not last long. I had warned Lexi about the high chance of migration, and that she would have to take care of it like it was her baby, and she said she understood. But as fate would have it, that didn't happen. Although she was meticulous about aftercare (mostly consisting of sea salt soaks twice a day) two of them started to migrate. This was better than I had expected (I had told her that it wouldn't really suprise me if they ALL migrated) so I told her that only two migrating was lucky. But then, she was kicked out of her house (although she was nineteen, she still lived at home) and she became homeless. At this point, she was not able to shower or take care of her piercings at all, and so, with a heavy heart, I told her it would be wiser to take them out than just to wait until they got infected.
So even though the beautiful piercing I had done was gone, I luckily still have pictures of them. You can see pictures of it and other mods I have done on my IAM page. Just click here to go to it. Thank you for your time, and if you are considering getting a corset piercing done, I personally think that they are the most beautiful piercings that exist!

Oh and one last note: You should NEVER do any piercing on someone or yourself unless you are a PROFESSIONAL body piercer! Thanks.
