Well hello there my fellow wierdos. I'm here to tell you about my recent piercing experience which all happend to be surface jobs. I did them all myself with the help of supplies from BMEshop, and multiple twelve packs of mountain dew. YEAH! DO THE DEW uppps...sorry..Here goes...

I have just recently discoverd surface piericng in the beginnning of this year, and I guess I like it becasue I've done six of them since. Here's the part when I get to tell everyone about my experience. ALl starting when I was around 15. I have four pircings in each of my ears, three cartilege ,and one retired lobe, all done by ladies at jewelry shops with guns. I have a 18g nostril done with a sewing needle, which is the oldest of the facial piercings; a 14g madonna initally done with a sewing needel, then naturally stretched to 14g, the second oldest; a 14g labret also done with a sewing needle, and a true earing who's backing got stuck in my lip causing me to pull it out with a tweeezers from the other side of my mouth hense the 14g , the third; and 14g horixontal bridge. I just love piericngs probably because I'm ghetto fabulous most of thee time and I can do them myself whenever i want instead of paying someone. I also have tattoos however, and I love those too, but my heart belongs to piercings.

My first surface piercing (if you consider it a surface job, BME doesn't so I don't know..WORD) was my horizontal bridge. I tried the first time with just a plain sewing needle and ended up looking like someone hip checked me into the boards with my swollen face and black eyes. It was TERRIBLE. I swore I wouldn't try again, but I did after I bought a REAL 14g piercing needle from BME , and it came out really cool. But on with the real surface jobs, my ill fated horizontal wrist piercings. These were very onry and irritable, and they didn't like me at all. I had a lot of problems with juicy ends and wierd pus smelly things, so I had to take them out. But before i could, they had migrated a bit, and I ripped them out in a rage one day, making a thick line where they used ot be. Being only a 14g, and a streight barbell, plus being rather superfical, I now relize the problem.

But I liked them too much to just give them up. They were way cool and I'd seen no one else with them so I was bound and determined to do them again , but right this time. I decied on doing them vertical now, beings that i already had nice scar tissue from the other ones to anchor them in. So I bought a 10g needle, and a circular barbell, and they did fine. One's kind of sideways, but its still cool. These piercing are perhaps the ones i get most comments on, and it is rather annoying to explain that no it does not go allll the way through my wrist bone (such idiots I swear) and no it didn't hurt that bad.

The next surface piercings I got were curved cleavge barbells. These were suprisingly less painfull than my others, but they also took quite a long time to do besides the fact they were only about 3/4 and inch long. I used a handy BME 14g needle and my pentagons forceps and they worked quite nice. One did migrate bit, becasue I had pierced it at an odd angle to make the triangular shape I wanted, so I just finished re-piercing that a few hours ago. These are one of my favorite piercings becasue they never catch on anything, and I can hide them or show them quite easily.

I seem to like doing things in twos I guess, so it won't be a suprise to tell you guys about my latest piercings. I feel really bad and lame for doing this, but I decied to give myself a little present for being such a deovted piercer/piercee, so I used some of the Emla cream I had bought for a friend of mine (who i'm planning to pierce his labret..and he's a wimp)on my belly. I measured 5 inches way from my belly botton on each side of my stomach, and marked them all the while the emla cream doing its thing, numbing me up. Then I started and stabbed the 10g needle into the marks, and it was a wierd sensation; then inital poke didn't hurt much, but it was kinda a shock when the needle got inside, and rather toe-curling. I guess I was expecting no pain, but there was a some, enough to make me feel good about piercing it, and pop, I now had curved barbells on my stomach. I don't know if I would have liked the procedure much if I hadn't had the emla on my belly, (props out to the ruffnecks who didn't use it on their bellies! WORD UP!) becasue it stil was a bit unconfortable, and without it it must be pretty intense. I stil feel like a cop out for using it, but oh well, I think the soreness helps a little to make me feel validated as hardcore. I'm looking forward to summer and showing of my piercings, but first they gotta cool it a liitle and hit the magic moment when they are finally "accepted" by my belly. I can't wait. Thanks guys, see ya.
