I got a triangle piercing done about four months ago. Since it is the most complicated piercing I've gotten, I decided to hold off on writing about the experience until after it had some time to heal.

I decided to get a triangle piercing mainly because I was curious about what a genital piercing would be like (I only have my lobes and nipples pierced otherwise) and because I liked the aesthetics of a triangle over other female genital piercings. I was also curious about how it might change sensation, since it's a pretty hyped up piercing, after all. I was also pretty certain I had the anatomy suited for it. So, I got a ride to Northampton to consult Penelope about it, since she's easily the most competent and experienced piercer near me, and I trusted her as she'd already pierced my nipples and reccommended my suspension artist (also very wonderful) to me.
It turned out that I did indeed have suitable anatomy, and that she had the time to pierce me then and there, which I wasn't totally expecting, but decided to go for it anyway. I had the option of being pierced at a 12g or a 10g, and I decided on 10g because I knew I'd consider stretching it later. For the initial jewelry, I chose a circular barbell (internally threaded of course) because I didn't want to deal with the hassle of trying to open and close a captive bead ring down the road.
I would go into detail about the piercing procedure here, but it's really just the basic sterile procedure I'd expect any competent piercer to do - she cleaned the area, measured me to pick out an appropriate diameter barbell, used a flashlight to make sure she'd pierce in the right spot and avoid blood vessels, put the clamps on in just two tries, changed her gloves a million times, had me count to three and pierced when I exhaled... incidentally, I would not recommend looking down when getting a genital piercing, because a 10g needle suddenly looks huuuuuge when it's near those important parts. Whew!
Well, it was easily the most intense piercing I've gotten - more intense than 6g suspension hooks and nipples. But it was also as quick as getting my lobes pierced. Getting the jewelry in was a little tricky and that was more uncomfortable (although less painful) than the piercing itself. I'm not generally phased by pain, but I definitely got a little woozy from it and had a juicebox. I also did bleed a bit, but Penelope provided a pantiliner for it.
I paid and sauntered (definitely not quite walking!) out of the shop and got a coffee, but mainly I wanted to go into a restroom to check myself out. The blood was already congealing around the barbell and I didn't want it sticking to me. I continued sauntering for the rest of the evening, but by the next day I was able to walk comfortably and I wasn't bleeding at all.
Healing: The first two weeks had its highs and lows. For the first few days, the circular barbell sat very naturally and I was able to keep it from moving around. However, once the swelling went down, the diameter (1/2") of the jewelry was a bit wide, and it would flip up sometimes and be uncomfortable. I also thought it looked...clunky, but I knew that a jewelry swap in a few weeks or months would fix that. Anyway, I cleaned the area twice a day with mild soap and did sea salt soaks once a day. I was vigilant about this for the first two weeks, and then just cleaned it in the shower and sea salt soaked every other day or when I remembered. One night, it flipped up in my sleep and tore the fistula on one side very slightly, and it was incredibly itchy. It also kept weeping lymph and I smelled like I was on my period.
After 6 weeks or so, I wasn't giving it any special attention beyond cleaning it in the shower, and it stopped being finicky. Without looking, I wouldn't know that I had a piercing there at all. No itching, crusting, funny smells, or any of that stuff. These days, about 4 months later, it's completely hassle-free and will easily stretch to 8g. I've bought an 8g 7/16" captive bead ring and some nice lapis lazuli and malachite beads for it. I may yet go for a 3/8" CBB or CBR, but it's hard to know if that'll be too snug until I see how the 7/16" sits for awhile, and since I can't exactly find cheap 3/8" jewelry lying around to try on.
Sensation: I didn't play with the piercing or masturbate for about the first two weeks. I found that initially I could orgasm vaginally more easily and intensely than before I got the piercing. Ordinarily, I can only have clitoral orgasms, so that was interesting. However, I'm thinking my body acclimated itself to it a bit, because while I can still have vaginal orgasms (which are quite nice), it's more work to get to them now and most times I just opt for clitoral orgasms, which I can have very easily. I would say the piercing is primarily aesthetic - nothing mind-blowing or earth-shattering to see here.
