Several months back I had a VCH piercing from my long trust piercer Wayne. Everything went well and healed fine. I liked the look and was in loved with the effect. So you would think that everything was as it should be, but not so. In the past month or so, my barbell has gotten loose. It was flipping all over the place and instead of enhancing sex, it make just made it more difficult. Not at all what I was after with this piercing. I had taken it out several times only to find it very difficult to put back in place even after a few short days. So...I decided now was the time to go for the triangle which was initially what I had wanted. I was afraid to have it done because all the BME experiences indicated that you needed to be very careful in selecting a piercer. One that had a decent amount of experience placing this type of piercing. Now, I live in podunk to put it bluntly. Even though my piercer is APP certified and very professional, I had my doubts as to whether or not he could accomplish this piercing successfully. I have wanted the triangle for at least four years now and it seemed the time was right. I had survived the VCH with no problem and it wasn't working out, so why not?
At A Glance Author BagosBabe Contact BagosBabe@bme.anon When A month ago Artist Wayne Studio Rite of Passage Location Victor NY Spur of the moment, as always, I hopped in my car and headed out of town. Wayne was in that day and I asked if he had done many triangles. He responded, "As much as anyone in this area" Piercees be warned...you probably don't want to hear that from someone about to stab a needle through your bits. I trust him as a piercer though, so I went ahead. He asked me to come in, so he could see if my anatomy was suitable for the triangle. It was, YAY! My adrenalin was rushing so very hard. I picked a 14 ga ring with a black ball. I had wanted this piercing for what seemed like forever and I was finally going to do it. I remembered to wear my skirt and no panties, so getting ready was simple. Hop on the table and get comfy. I'm comfortable enough with myself and my piercer that it doesn't wierd me out anymore. He cleaned me up, marked the piercing location and clamped my clit out of the way before piercing. Despite what I have read, the clamp bothered me a little but it wasn't terrible. Inhale, exhale and 1, 2, 3, GO! I screamed it hurt so. Yes, I actually screamed. I've had four kids natural and never screamed, but this was insane. My head immediately said, "Something is not right here." He put the jewelry in and cleaned me up. I was pretty light headed so I stayed on the table for a few minutes before getting up. When I was ready, I got up and looked at my new triangle in the mirror. It was bleeding fairly well at that point which I expected. It hurt like hell, but I loved it already. I had been wanting this for so so long. I thanked him and tipped him generously.
By the time I got to the waiting room I knew this pain wasn't quite right. It had a certain edge that seemed wrong. Like pinching almost. I dismissed it as inevitable given the fact this piercing was substantially deeper than my previous genital piercing. I thought in a few hours it would back off a little at least. Not so. Neither did the bleeding. Although I wasn't bleeding enough to give me serious concern, it still seemed a bit more than I should expect. Either way, I figured maybe the hour ride home on fresh genital piercing was little more than was good for the process. Sleeping wasn't so comfortable or good either. I kept pillow between my knees to avoid pressure on the area.
Day 2
The bleeding was still going and the swelling on slightly reduced. I took some ibuprofen and hoped for the best. Lets just say my legs weren't very close to one another all that day. My sweetie was bit concerned with the pain and swelling. I was still thrilled with my new piercing and said that everything would level out soon. Funny thing was though that the pain was now only in the left side of my labia. Sharp little shooting pains up and down the left outer labia. Only that side hurt significantly on cleaning. The whole thing ached, but that side was different. Just touching the labia on the left sent sharp shooting pains up and down that side.
Day 3
I could no longer deny the fact that the left side of my triangle was significantly more painful than the right. The shooting pains in that side continued with very little to none on the right side. Finally though, the swelling had backed off some so I could get a good look at my new triangle. Now I could see what the issue was. My triangle was crooked. the point at which the needle had gone in on the left side was significantly higher into the clitoral shaft than on the right which was deep. I couldn't believe it. It was crooked. I emailed my piercer to ask if the pain was normal. He said that yes, some was normal. Also, who lets just say responded less than positively about my assertion that it was crooked. I had my boyfriend and two best girlfriends look at it and they all agreed it was crooked. Enough to notice either lying down for standing. I thought well...maybe I can live with crooked. I certainly was in no mood to remove it and have it redone. However, the shooting pain on the left and the odd angle gave me cause for concern. The bleeding was still present as well. Later that day, I noticed an odd bruising start to take place on the left labia. Long vertical bruising starting only on that side. I could no longer deny that something was seriously wrong with my piercing and it would have to go whether or not I wanted it to.
Day 4
Sadly, but surely...I knew it had to go. The bruising continued to increase. I emailed a local piercer/friend, IAM DTM to ask what he thought. He gave me a few ideas and left it up to me. I knew it had to go. I tried to take it out myself, but lets just say...it was way too tightly set and I got very light headed trying. The pain in the left side found its way down into my thigh. This had to go. I headed down to see my friend so he could help me out with the proper tools and hopefully be a little less painful. He immediately agreed that the piercing was significantly too high into the clitoral shaft on the left side which was most likely the cause of the pain. He also commented that the bruising was severe. Out it came. He suggested if I were to try this piercing again, I would have to wait a minimum of one months time due to the severity of the bruising. Also that a 12 g would be more appropriate choice as well as slightly larger ring.
As of today, I have not had my triangle redone. This just might not be the right area to have someone do a triangle. It rural and most any piercer probably has not done many triangles. My piercer, whom I trusted responded to my concerns by dismissing them. Perhaps I offended him, but that is not his job to be offended. Everyone makes mistakes sometimes. I don't fault him for that. I fault him for not handling the result professionally. I had a piercing that five people agreed upon seeing it, that it was inappropriately placed. I had to remove a piercing I dearly wanted to keep. My advice? Have a triangle if that is what you really want, but listen to your guts if you feel something is wrong with your piercing. Don't be afraid to ask another piercer to evaluate the situation if necessary. And please make sure that your piercer is qualified in the piercing they are about to perform whether or not you have had other types of piercings done by them. Who knows...some day I may get my triangle redone and this time the the desired results.
