I was on the internet one day looking at some weird porn at rotten.com and I didn't understand why anyone would get their "friendly parts" pierced so I decided to do some research. Well, to say the least I no longer regarded this as crazy like I did previously. I was interested in getting my triangle pierced so I went to talk to a few different piercers in Houston. Well, after talking to them I started to feel discouraged because none of them did triangles so I got a vertical hood instead. After having my hood pierced for just a couple of weeks I started thinking about the triangle again. Well, I learned about Taurian's so I talked to Byriah (he's the only one that does this piercing there) and went in for the consultation.

So he went around poking and prodding to see if there was enough room to fit the piercing. He told me no, I didn't have the correct anatomy to fit this piercing. I was very upset and left, but I guess you can say I've never really been the type to just give up, so I called him back the next day. I asked him exactly why I couldn't get it, and he told me that it would be very likely to twist if I got it because the outer labia were supposed to be further apart for this piercing. Well, I asked him if by any chance he'd do it anyway just in case it didn't. Very much to my surprise, he said he would, but that he didn't think it would work out very well for me. Of course I didn't care about the very high chance of twisting if only I could get it...I just wanted to try.
So, about a week later I made a trip back to Houston to go get the piercing I had been wanting so badly. I was so nervous and was feeling sick all day from nerves (this was much on account that when on the phone I asked for a pain comparison to the hood, he told me that the triangle was "much more intense"). When I finally made it to Taurian's I was shaking so bad (I'm really not one for pain, I was terrified) until I was in the same little room as before with my pants off again. So he took out all the little tools needed (clamps, the needle, jewelry, etc.) and began to clean the needle site then clamp it (not so horribly comfortable). Just a word of advice...it's bullshit when they tell you they're going to tell you exactly what they're doing so you'll be prepared for the needle. He was just "resting his finger for a second" when the needle suddenly went through. My poor boyfriend that was standing beside me, I grabbed his arm and squeezed VERY tightly (actually, he still has a scar from my fingernails, oops). Afterwards Byriah told me he was done, but I didn't believe him, I didn't think he even put the jewelry in yet so I stayed there, still holding my boyfriend's arm. Yeah, I just made myself look stupid, this wasn't another painful surprise waiting to happen thing. When I realized it really was over, I got up and got dressed very quickly and was pleasantly surprised to see there was no pain in walking around.
The lack of pain ended very quickly when I got in the car....the hour long car ride back home was very painful....especially because Westheimer (the road Taurian's is located on) is very bumpy. That night I noticed there was very little blood, but again, this changed, it bled a lot in the next couple of days and I walked around like a duck because of the pain of walking.
Well, I initially ignored Byriah's advice of not crossing my legs to avoid twisting from the incorrect anatomy, but then I started freaking out that maybe it was going to twist, so I made up my own precautions to avoid this (no, Byriah was not aware nor did he advise my method). Well, first I started stuffing cotton balls around the jewelry to help avoid twisting, but then I started thinking that maybe the cotton balls would move and force the jewelry to twist, so I bought medical tape to hold it in place. It was rather uncomfortable and more difficult to clean as there was cotton stuck in the piercing, but it didn't twist at least.
Well, it's been a month and a half since. I don't stuff it or do other random precautions anymore. It's still not twisting and I'm so happy with it. I'm already planning on more to get and now Byriah is the only person I will go to for piercings...it was very clean and everyone was so friendly there.
