I had been wanting to write about my previous piercing experience with Bethra at Virtue and Vice, but decided to wait until I got my triangle done. I am recently back into various forms of body art. In the past few months I have had a tattoo and two piercings added to my collection: a tattoo and three piercings. And, of course, now I want even more! Seeing as how I am at school for a graduate degree, am to be found often times in suits and heels and am generally misunderstood by most of my colleagues, I need an outlet--and body art has always appealed to me. I find it beautiful for several reasons. What is most fascinating about is are the reasons why each person decides to do certain things. You can learn a lot from a person that way.

I had been pondering some sort of genital piercing for about two years, when I went in a couple of months ago to see which of the piercings I would be best suited for. On the internet, I had read up on all the different ways to enhance a girl's genitalia, both for pleasure and aesthetically. I had thought there was only one piercing, so upon deciding to go ahead with this, I did a lot of reading about each and every type, complete with pictures and stories! I was excited to have learned that Athens had such an exceptional piercer in Bethra. She was great; she patiently explained a lot of things to me while examining me (she even gave me an anatomy lesson, since school doesn't teach us the really important things, and neither do the guys!) and told me after my examination that I would be a perfect candidate for a vertical clitoral hood, as well as a triangle.
Needless to say, after having researched the various piercings, I was stoked to hear that the triangle was an option for me. At that time, I decided to only get the VCH done. I had to wait patiently for the holidays to come and go, so I would be back up at school (and I do mean patient; once I get an idea in my head, there is no turning back, and I wanted to do both at the same time, but Bethra recommended that I take it one step at a time. It is wise to listen to the piercer!). But today the wait ended! I went back for my triangle.
I went into the studio today and was pleased to see that I would be able to get it done right then, with little wait. Bethra is only at the Athens studio two days a week; I believe she is in Atlanta the rest of the week, but am not entirely sure. We discussed all the normal stuff (sterilization, jewelry, when I had last eaten, paperwork, etc.), and she got everything ready. When the time came, she marked me to precise placement with the toothpick and purple dye(placement being so important on this piercing), put on the clamp (yes, this pinches pretty badly, but is completely bearable) and then began the breathing speech...I had gotten off her count though and was not quite ready for the actual moment when it happened. My fault for not getting with her on that. I was so pleasantly surprised, however, to realize that this piercing hurt less than the VCH! I had read (and Bethra even confirmed) that this would be more intense. It was fast and practically painless, believe it or not. Screwing in the balls for the curved barbell that we had chosen hurt more (the twisting!). Shortly afterward, I can definitely feel it, but there is little to no pain. Everything went smoothly. And still is going smoothly. Bethra handed me a pad just in case I began bleeding, but the bleeding has not been bad at all. All in all, I could not have asked for a better piercing experience!
While I have only had it for a short time, I absolutely love it. It perfectly compliments my VCH (both pieces of jewelry have blue stones/balls), looks fantastic (it is amazing how pretty one can really be down there!) and is my own little secret now. I can't wait for it to heal so that I can discover its other added benefits! I have never had any problems during sex reaching orgasm; I hope this just gives me that much more pleasure!
I highly recommend Bethra to anyone in the Athens area for any piercing, especially the triangle, if one is suited for it. She is a consummate professional, and it shows. She made me feel comfortable and at ease. If I decide to go back for anything else (I am thinking of piercing my nipples at this point...), I will definitely go see her again.
