Several months ago, I played around with the idea of getting a triangle. However, my financial state stood in my way. I was scraping money together for food and books at college – I couldn't afford this jewel of a piercing. Plus, I highly doubt that I would have gone spread eagle to a total stranger at that point in time.

Over Christmas break I received quite a bit of money. I got a mischievous little gleam in my eye as I thought, "Triangle time!"
I go to school in Chicago, so the day after I got back from Christmas break I went down to The Alley, home of Progressive Piercing and the amazing wonderful Scott Jania. Scott is an amazing piercer. He gave me a daith piercing on my left ear – perfectly straight and amazing. Everyone who goes to him loves him. The day I went down it was the first big snow Chicago received this winter, so I was kind of worried that Scott would be a no-show. I walked in and looked around. There was no one at the counter. No Scott. I sighed to myself and started to head for the door, when viola! Scott walked to the desk and asked what he could help me with. I told him that I wanted to get a triangle piercing. He then said that he would need to make sure that I had the right anatomy for the job.
I walked back into his piercing room, took off my underwear, laid back on the table, pulled my skirt. De-robing in front of him was probably what I was the most worried about – but once I had to do it I wasn't tense at all. Scott is a really great people person – he does a really great job at relaxing people. He poked around for a bit and said, "You can support this piercing! You're built a little small though, the biggest jewelry we should do is 12 gauge." That was fine with me. I didn't want huge jewelry down there, anyway.
I decided on a circular barbell. I filled out all the paperwork and walked back into the piercing chambers. He explained that he would need to use forceps on me instead of a receiving tube, because I had an especially small area that could be pierced and it needed to be exact.
I laid back and he cleaned the area. We talked about school and what we did for New Years – it wasn't awkward at all, which was really great, considering how nervous I was. I had NO idea what kind of pain this was going to be. He carefully marked the enter and exit holes. I did my best to hold still. He approached me with the needle and jewelry and explained what would happen. He walked back over to my vagina and lined up the needle with the whole. I looked up at the ceiling, with Scott lining up the needle and thought to myself, "Why am I doing this?!" He told me to breathe in and out, and when I breathed out he would perform the piercing. I did the breathing and I experienced an EXTREMELY intense pain...that only lasted for a second. I've never cried out during a piercing before – I have a nostril, navel, daiths (x2) and lobes (x2), and I've never made a peep. I made some sort of noise during this piercing. It was a very intense pinching.
Scott told me, "You did good! Did it hurt more, less, or just about as you expected?" "I...I...really don't know!" I said. It was too fast to really tell. As soon as the piercing had started, it had ended. To go from no pain to very intense pain to no pain again is a really weird feeling. He told me that he was going to insert the jewelry, which he did. He tightened the ball on the circular barbell and gave me a mirror to look at it. He explained that due to my anatomy, the jewelry wouldn't get twisted. He also commented that I didn't bleed at all – not even a drop. "That's really uncommon," he said. Due to the area (and how vascular it is), there's usually a lot of blood associated with genital piercings.
I stood up and gripped the table – I was definitely feeling the endorphins. He asked how I felt and I replied, "Floaty." He laughed and we talked a little more as I put my coat on and got ready to brave the snow outside. I thanked him and paid. I told him that I was going to get change to tip him, and he said, "Don't worry about it. You're a student. I know how it is." I thanked him again and left.
It's about 2 hours old and it doesn't hurt at ALL! I love it.
