>From the very beginning, from the very first time I saw this piercing on the Rings of Desire website, I fell in love with it. I was only 16 when I first wandered onto the site. As taboo as it was, as much as I thought it to be barbaric, I was always drawn back to the gallery to take a quick peek at something I thought I would never have. Four years later and 13 piercing down the line I would still take a glance at my beloved piercing. Now a little wiser and freshly introduced to BME I had a new out look on body modification, and I began to research as much as posable about genital piercing, now that I had the resources I felt like nothing could stop me. But one thing did stop me, a simple statement "a triangle is a VERY advanced piercing" this stopped me in my tracks, I had no experience with a genital piercing and I wanted to be sure I knew what I was doing, this was not something I wanted to mess up. So I made a decision and an appointment with Master Piercer Elayne Angel to have my VCH pierced. All went better then expected and with my new found experience and confidence I felt I was ready.

Angel was to be my piercer yet again and was the only person I trusted to do such a piercing. I quickly found out that Angel had been under the weather and stopped piercing for a good bit of time, this was a big set back in my plans, but her health ment more then a piercing so I patiently awaited to hear from her again with the good news that she was well and piercing once more.
Now for the difficult part, I had to prepare myself both mentally and physically for the procedure. I conceive myself to have an above average pain tolerance, though this one piercing struck me as being the pinnacle of intensity (this is what I gathered from the experiences I read). My VCH was painless however my lower half jerked off the table in shock from this entirely different feeling. I didn't want a repeat of this. I looked into EMLA cream but I was scared to use it for my piercing, it wasn't till I talked to Shannon (the man behind BME!) and he explained to me that in fact it would be safe for my particular piercing, not numbing it completely but taking the edge off of the intensity. I was sold! I ordered a tube that very day. I tried it out on an inverse navel piercing within the first week of receiving it just to make sure I knew how to use it. It worked like a charm! One week before the procedure I began taking zinc and multi vitamins to make sure my immune system would be top notch as the weather is just starting to get cold here in Louisiana and I could already feel myself getting a bit under the weather.
I made my appointment for Thursday December the 11th at 3:30. My day started off early, as I awoke with the sun, I was to nervous to sleep. Since I live about 45 minutes away from Rings of Desire I decided that I would ride into work with my Mom, since the restaurant was only 10 minutes away from the shop and my boyfriend, Michael was already at work and would be getting off at around 2. I thought it to be a pretty nice convience. When I arrived at work I was nervous but handling it well, I found little things to do to help distract my mind that seemed to be running ramped. With each hour disappearing and 3:30 fastly approaching my nerves started to get worse. I had to eat but everything I fixed I couldn't stomach, at this point I was 2 hours away from my appointment, I was so nervous that I made myself nauseous. I managed to eat some candy canes and french fries (what a combination!) and before I knew it, Michael was ready to leave.
We arrived in the French Quater only minutes after leaving work. Since Rings of Desire was merely across the street from the Flea Market I took the opportunity to go and apply the EMLA so it would have time to work before I headed to the shop.
Ten minutes later...
I cleaned myself off, making sure there was no trace of the EMLA left behind (sadly I didn't want Angel to know I used it) and I headed to Rings. Upstairs I climbed with Michael in tow. I approached the desk and as always Angels lovely staff greeted me and immediately made me feel at ease. By this time my nervousness had disappeared almost completely, now I was concerned about the EMLA wearing off as it only lasts 30 minutes on genitals, 40 if your lucky (but that is just me). I filled out the routine paperwork, and was then shown my choices of jewelry. At this point Angel was just finishing up with her 3 o'clock appointment and was ready to examine me to see if I had the proper anatomy for the piercing.
The examination.
The exam went rather fast, I entered the room dropped my pants and undies, and hoped on the table. Angel applied a fresh pair of gloves and with two hands poked and prodded, pulled and shifted things around. To my delight 3 minutes later her head emerged with a smile on her face giving me the wonderful news that I was built for the piercing. She told me that its always good to take your time, "whats good for you is good for me, which is good for us" nicely said.
I put my pants back on and went back out to the counter to pick my jewelry. Angel had decided that a small circular 12 gauge barbell would fit me best, and to give it a little flare I picked out two blue titanium balls. Next came the painful part as Brian put it, time to pay! 98 dollars later I was ready to be pierced and headed back to the room.
The piercing procedure.
I took my pants, undies and shoes off, placing my cloths on the coat rack and then hoping back up on the table. Angel, freshly gloved began to disinfect the area, she felt around a bit more, changed gloves and with two hands she determined where the nerve bundle was exactly, and where all the veins were the most concentrated all while talking to me, explaining everything and making simple talk to calm me down. She marked me, allowed them to dry and asked if I wanted to see, I simply said "I trust you," she quickly changed her gloves opened the packages with the forceps, needle, jewelry, balls for the jewelry and lubrication, made sure everything was ready and placed just right for easy access. At this point Michael and Angel made jokes about me kicking last time so Angel moved the tray out of my reach which isn't far since I'm so short, but the joke was a nice ease. Angel used two fingers to pull at the area for a good minute explaining that since I was built so small this w ill help to loosen the skin for the forceps to get a better grip. Once she was done she applied the forceps, at this point I could tell the EMLA had worn down about half way. While it wasn't painful there was a lot of pressure at this time. Angel checked to make sure the forceps were in the correct place and the dots all lined up. I braced myself, clinching the table, eyes shut tight. Angel told me to breath, assuring me it was almost over, "breath in ... breath out" and she pierced me, she caught me off guard as she always does, but the horrible pain I was expecting never came, I felt a great deal of pressure, but that was all. After the jewelry was inserted Angel cleaned me up and then placed a cool cloth over the piercing to help take the sting out.
Angel asked how I felt, I replied "Surprisingly fine," though she instructed me to lay there as she rushed to get me a glass of cold water. As I sat up there she was with my water and she began sifting about to find me a panty liner that fit my undies. A few minutes later I was ready to leave, she gave me the marker as a souvenir, I tipped her and got a picture of the two of us together.
The next few hours were less then pleasant. My entire crotch felt like it was on fire and all I could do was waddle around. It bled a good bit, but it wasn't heavy. That night I didn't clean it, instead I just did a sea salt soak and changed my undies and put down a fresh panty liner as Angel instructed, Its best to wait a day or so before you clean the piercing.
It has been almost four days since I was pierced and already I can tell this is going to be an uneventful healing process. The day after my procedure I was not sore to my surprise, I was able to walk just fine and if I was gentile I could cross my legs without pain, though I still stayed away from crossing them, it was just nice to know that I could. I'm still bleeding, but not as much. My vertical hood was actually more sore then the triangle has been. I do several sea salt soaks a day, I clean it once a day and I take Ibuprofen in the morning and at night before bed. I still can't believe I got my piercing, I can't even tell its there!
If you are interested in this piercing, do your research, know your piercer and make sure he/she is capable of such an advanced procedure. Always make sure you eat before you go, and sometimes it is a good idea to bring along a candy bar in case you become dizzy. Panty liners are also good to have in case your piercer doesn't have any. Lastly never take a medication such as Aspirin, which is a blood thinner, this will cause you to bleed more, a piercing such as the triangle is in such a vascular area that you don't want excessive bleeding, stick with anti inflammatory medication, this will help with the swelling and can help a bit with the pain. If you are ever in New Orleans definitely stop by Rings of Desire! :0)
