I tend to do crazy things. Lately, my craziness has involved piercings. So far, I've gotten 13 piercings since last December (2005). This is my story about piercings number 9 and 10.

My decision for labia piercings was not a hard one. I had gotten my hood pierced back in December 2005. It was such an easy piercing and it looked so pretty. A few months went by and I got many more piercings, yet I wanted another genital piercing. I looked all over the web and saw labia piercings. There was something about the traditional labia piercing that I did not like. It sort of looked unnatural to me. It took me a while, but I eventually realized I did not like the direction. I began thinking, if I could only have them vertically instead of horizontally. I had a free bme membership from another story I wrote ("My Beautiful Nipple Crosses"), so I began looking through all the pics of labia piercings. It took me a little bit, but I eventually found a picture of vertical labia piercings. Now that I realized it could be done, I decided to approach my piercer about it.

I was uber-excited about these piercings. I couldn't wait to ask my piercer, Chris, about this. So I got in my car and drove down to Need A New Hole? and asked Chris what he thought of the idea. He initially didn't really like it. He had never done it and was unsure of the placement. He said they would probably reject and hurt like a bitch. I left super disappointed. However, I was not going to give up that easily. I went home and printed off a picture. He had said he never saw this, so I figured a picture might help. A few days later I went back to Chris and showed him the picture. He took a minute to look at it and said, "Oh, I can do that." Sweet! Exactly the answer I wanted. Apparently, he initially thought the placement would be different and that's where his concerns were. We talked about price and I was set to get-er-done. Unfortunately, I had to wait. Due to female issues and a major walking parade thingy I couldn't get out of, I had to wait about 2 weeks before getting this done.

The waiting was painful. I usually get an idea for a piercing, talk to Chris about prices, get money and go in. I don't usually plan for a piercing. This one I did. My parade thingy was on a Sunday, Chris' shop is closed on Sunday and Monday, so I knew I'd be going to get pierced that Tuesday. All the waiting made me very anxious. It didn't help that every time I talked to Chris about it, he told me how much it would hurt. Haha. Finally, the big day came. I was so nervous. I went in and Chris and I both knew what was going to happen. I was scared. He was excited. After all, he would get to look at my half-naked for a while, and what man wouldn't want that? (Haha, total joke). I walked into the piercing area and proceeded to drop my pants. I then laid down on the chair and we made small talk while he measured and marked me. It took him a few times, but he finally got it straight. He told me to stand up, to double check his placement. Yeah, that messed everything up. All the placement was messed. There went a good 15 minutes of work. So, Chris washed it all off and he began again. This time, I stood up for the process. It took him a bit of time to once again measure and mark, but he finally did it. Everything looked great, and when I laid back down, the placement stayed even. Now with me all marked, the piercing was set to begin.

Chris got all the stuff ready. First, he clamped me. He decided to do the left one first. He told me to take some deep breaths. This is when I usually forget to breathe and tense up, but I actually listened to him for once in my life and tried to relax. The needle began making it's way through my flesh. It hurt like a bitch. And it seemed to never end. After all, he was going through a lot more flesh than a usual labia piercing. After what seemed like forever (really, probably like 10 seconds at most), the piercing was done. Chris got the jewelry and put the barbell through my new hole. With lefty done, it was time to move on to righty. The pain was intense for lefty, but I knew I could handle it. It wasn't THAT bad. So, Chris once again clamped me and I prepared myself. Our small talk ceased and he once again told me to take deep breaths. I again listened, but this time it didn't help as much. The needle started going through and the pain began again. Except this time it seemed like 10 times worse. I began tensing up. I refuse to yell or cry or anything like that while getting pierced. I just tensed up. I swear it took like 10 minutes to get through my flesh (again, probably only a few seconds). Finally, the piercing was over and the jewelry was in. There was some bleeding. I expected that though. But the pain wasn't that bad. That's why I love piercings. It's painful while the needle is going through, but once that's done, the pain goes away. I got up, looked in the mirror, fell in love with them, and then got dressed, paid Chris and left.

The healing process was pretty good. There was some swelling on the left side, but the right side never gave any trouble. It's been almost 3 months and everything is perfect. In fact, it all went so well, that a few weeks ago I went and got 2 more labia piercings under these ones. The new ones are horizontal though. It looks cool that I have them going different ways. So, if you're considering doing labia piercings, go for it. They do hurt, but they look pretty and you'll most likely love them. And if you live in Windsor or are visiting, go see Chris at Need A New Hole? on Tecumseh. He's an amazing piercer and he's very personable. Ok, for the girls out there, he's cute too. Haha. But for real, he's very knowledgeable and even though he likes to joke around, when it comes down to it, he gets right to business and is very professional. Oh an if you have any questions, feel free to e-mail me. I'm more than willing to answer whatever I can.
