I now have six labial piercings: the two rings from the first story, the two from the second, and the new ones which I just had done a matter of hours ago, which are the barbells again. The experience was, as always, wonderful.
We got into Zak's piercing studio at around noon, and he pulled out the baggie of 8Ga rings he had been hiding just for me. I grinned, happy and nervous all at the same time. While he was autoclaving the new jewelry, we talked at the counter about various piercing practices, and discussed the virtues of Steelwerks' jewelry, which is very expensive but very worth it. When the timer went off, I ran to the restroom for the obligatory before-piercing bladder emptying, tidied up, and bounced into the back room. I was desperate to get the barbells out and the rings put in, because the barbells had reached the "annoying and uncomfortable" stage about two weeks previous.
I laid myself down on the table, slid my feet into the now-familiar stirrups, and scootched my bottom close to the edge of the table. I lamented the fact that Zak has no pictures on his ceiling, as I clenched my hands and waited for the new jewelry to be installed. It was fairly easy, although the left ring was a bit pinchy going in. The right one got stretched a lot and slid easily in, but the left one was much tighter. Going from the 10Ga bar to the 8Ga ring was a bit more challenging. Zak managed easily enough, though.
We discovered a small difficulty with the ring as Zak was putting the closures in: it would not snap closed to his or Amo's standards of correctness. I walked around with one ring open for another several minutes, while the barbells and new ring were sterilized. I loved the feeling of the rings, though. It is much nicer than the grating of the barbell's ball against the inner thigh.
When the rest of the stuff was sterile, Zak called us back again. Up onto the table, I once again ventured. My thighs were spread wide, and the new, correctly closing ring, was put into place. With that done, Zak pulled out his little purple toothpick "pen" and began marking me up. He and Amo spent about fifteen minutes haggling over the placement of the last four piercings, and finally figured out the perfect way to measure the spot. That done, hatchmarks were made, and everyone was satisfied and ready.
Well, I wasn't quite ready. For some reason, this particular set of piercings seemed to creep up on me unawares. I was very nervous, and felt extremely unprepared. I did some slow, deep breathing, and held my thighs apart as Zak made impressions in my labia, so he could see where the first barbell would go. Then the obligatory "breathe in then let it out," suggestion, and as I let out the breath, the needle went through.
Zak had to wait between the piercing and the sliding in of the jewelry. I lost my breath and yelped, and I left distinct finger impressions in my own thigh. Amo was clicking the camera wildly. Zak asked if I was alright, and I managed to squeak out a firm, "Yes!" Satisfied, he finished threading the jewelry through my new hole. It was quite painful, but quick.
The second barbell went in even faster. When I let my breath out, Zak went zip zip zip and pushed through the needle, pulled, and had the jewelry in before I'd finished my expression of pain! With both sets done, I sat up carefully, and thanked Zak.
He joked that he's seen so much of me, he ought to be invited to family gatherings. I suspect Amo might consider doing so, if only because he's been very good to me, and to us.
Now I'm sporting three holes down each labia, and I'm very happy with them. My project is more than half way complete, and I can expect the product to be completed and finished by September. I feel pretty good about this! I think the heavier guage rings look beautiful, and I am thrilled with the placement of this third set of piercings.
The pain I'm experiencing is less than the last two sets. It hurt, yes, but not nearly so much. Because of the placement of this set of piercings, we expect it to heal up fairly quickly. There's less rub factor involved, and the balls won't be jammed into any nooks and crannies this time. You can look on my i.am page, to see updates.
