Hiyah people,
At A Glance Author himalaya_poppy Contact himalaya_poppy@bme.anon When A month ago Artist Rob Studio Perforations Location Brighton, U.K. this is an experience that I had about a month ago. I had wanted my outer labias done for some time, but the thought of a needle going through that much flesh made me a bit squemish. Don't get me wrong I do have quite of piercings etc ( to the point that many people say too much) but I'm one that doesn't exactly relish pain, I do actually have a very low pain threshold.
I'm am in the middle of slowly transforming my external body to my ideal - the way I see myself on the inside ( I'm sorry I don't know how to say it better but I'm sure that you know what I mean), and a couple of outer labia piercings was in that picture. So it seems that I will have to pick up the courage to go and get it done sometime.
And that sometime, was about a month ago.
I had had quite a bit of work done by Rob, and I knew him to be a brillant piercer as well as a brilliant guy so I was more than happy for him to be the guy to do it.
Now perforations is the studio that I have the upmost confidence in getting any piercings to be done, so I decided I'll get it done when I was actually down in the area getting some flesh staples ( quentin of Kalima studios - brilliant guy as well).
I popped in to perforations and saw Rob there, we chatted abit as I haven't been in for about 4 months (as live about 12 hours away) and then he asked if I was in for anything. I sort of unfortunately chickened out at this point and said no, that I'm just going shopping and might pop back in later ( if I had worked up the courage!).
So aimlessly walking around for a couple of hours in a town that I really didn't know I thought that if I don't get them done today I won't get them done until I come back in another 4 months time or so, as I don't trust any studios in my home town to do them properly.
So I trundled back to Perforations, Rob was in reception as there was a lull in clients, we chatted some more, he wasn't fooled, he knew I wanted some work done, but he'll let me bring the subject up.It was whilst in the middle of some talk about hats or something ( I think) that I just blurted out I wanted some labia piercings.
He said sure with a big smile on his face ( probably thinking 'finally!') and lead me down to the green room.
It was strange once I had said that I wanted labia piercings to Rob, I stopped being so scared and sort of relaxed into that calm state that I seem to go into before I get any work done. Fine by me.
So I got up onto that big dental/doctor padded bed/table thing which Rob propped up so that I was sitting rather than lying down. Next out came the stirrups, and down came the pants. Did I tell you that I feel really comfortable with this guy ( don't know why) that I didn't even think it strange to be this 'vunerable' to a 'stranger'.
Next was the marking up, this took quite a bit of time and I don't think that my doctor have even ever spent that long between my legs studying my bits. All you could see was the top of Robs head down there, I wanted to start giggling but luckily managed to control myself.
Finally marking up was finished and Rob had me ok the positions which looked perfect to me. Next came the question of whether I wanted any anaesthetic put on. Boy was I going to go for anaesthetic, no question about that one.
ROb knows that my left side is always more sensitive than my right so we started on the left. I had decided on the smaller guage rings beforehand ( as I had recon I could always stretch them easily enough in the future if wanted to). Hands washed and scrubded, gloves on etc
Can't remember if Rob used clamps or not, think he did. On went the anaesthetics and on the count of 3 through went the needle. OUCH,OUCH,OUCH is all I can think about that piercing. Jewellery was then swiftly and gently followed through. Rob was still smiling and asked 'how was that then, not too bad?'
'Not too bad?! That was probably one of the worst pain I've ever had from a piercing.' Which he was quite surprised about, as he knew what I went through for the two lower back ones that he gave me.
I was now really apprehensive about the second one now and I've always found the second piercing to be more uncomfortable than the first by far.
Same procedure, anaesthetic, 1,2,3 and needle through. This time I was completely surprised. This one wasn't half as painful as the first, it wasn't even pain it was more like a slight discomfort, not that I am complaining or anything. I had a great big grin on my face and Rob knew I was ok.
I had a look at them through the mirror and I was so so happy. They looked so right, as if they had always been part of my body. I thanked Rob for doing such a beautiful job and chatted some more before heading back up. Rob even gave me a discount on them :) think it was all the goodies I brought down from Scotland for him.
Anyway there was no discomfort etc from walking or anything so things went about as normal, though I did put a pantyliner on for the bleeding that occured. Nothing major but steady drops for the next day or so.
I couldn't be more thrilled with them. Looking forward to going back down to Brighto in the next 4/5 months for some more piercings by Rob.
Hugs and kisses people, luv himalya_poppy
