If someone had told me a year ago that i would be sat here writing an experience about genital piercing, I wouldnt have believed them. but now I am sat here with a horizontal hood,one inner and one outer labia piercing.

The outer labia was the most painful piercing i have yet to have... this was my second genital piercing and the one i was most looking forward to. Considering that my outer labia is not very sensitive, I figured it wouldnt really hurt...

Having one of almost everything else pierced I really wanted to get my genitalia done.After all its the ultimate...if you can get your bits done, you can do anything, right??

I have been going to Ruths since February this year, so Im fairly new to it. I knew that letting her see my privates would be no big deal... still it didnt help walking down her staircase afterwards...

Before getting pierced I decided to shave all my pubes off, after all I didnt want the embarrassment of her having to find my labia before she could pierce it !!! She reminded me not to shave the area until it had healed, as this can irritate the fresh piercing.

Having talked about it for weeks, the day finally arrives when I go into Ruths and say "hey Im getting my bits done again". She looks at me and laughs,"get your kit off.."

I remove clothing and place myself on the chair."fold your legs around the chair" she says. I feel rather like a plucked chicken. Ruths Studio is quite small, with bright orange walls and loud music. Its situated above a shop so the people downstairs often come up with enquiries about piercings.Just as I m lying on the chair, feeling very exposed, someone knocks on the door. "Ruth?? Someone want s a word about an eyebrow piercing..." ARRRGH I think, will I ever get this done?? Needless to say Ruth told them to wait. She puts on her gloves and gets out the cleaning stuff.

Just as shes cleaning the area I start to freak out. my heart beats really fast.Im thinking that the outer labia is really thick and the needle will take ages to go thru. I can see her getting the needle out of the packaging. "so do you want it at 1.6??" "yes... is it possible to get them both done??" Ruth said its better off to do two in the same labia at the same time until its healed, as they can rub and irritate each other.still contemplating whether to get two, I agree to it, and then say, if it really hurts the first time can we leave the second?? of course, she says...any more questions?? I realise im just putting it off. I shut my eyes and lay back. She puts the clamps on . In my reckoning this really hurt but merely because i was so afraid. she was barely touching me!! I try to relax but Im so nervous. i think about backing out but think, its now or never.i take a deep breath...

Ruth is just about to pierce me when I sit up. I can see the needle as its about to go in. " i can't do it." I cant believe those words came out. I begged her not to do it, then my boyf reminded me that id regret not getting it done today and id feel really dissapointed. Whilst pondering this, Ruth did it. I yelped. It HURT!!! God it hurt! "there," she says. "that wasnt so bad??" Funny, I thought it was !!

she cleaned me up and squirted some antiseptic spray on it ARGGGGHHHH thats COLD!!! she put a little pad on it and I attempted to get my pants back on....

I now felt really stupid , if i hadnt freaked out or sat up at the wrong moment, my guess is it would've been fine!!! the worst bit was that everyone sat in the waiting room knew what id had done cause i was walking so weirdly!!This was nothing compared to trying to get down the narrow winding staircase...

About three monthes later it has fully healed, i washed it daily and it ached every day for two monthes. It looks really good now, I may have to start stretching it soon!!! I may leave it a while before getting the second one done though......

I recently tried to pierce a bit higher up from the original labia piercing and discovered that there is no way i can do it by myself, Ruth told me that she'd done all of her four labia piercings and I have nothing but admiration for her. having just had my inner labia pierced I think I shall get more inners done as it has healed after two weeks and Ihad no pain at all throughout. the only other thing about the outer labia is that I still have to be careful when i sit down...

If you are thinking about having your outer labia done, I say go for it!!! Dont think about the pain, its only for a second and had i not gone mad before she pierced me It wouldnt have hurt as much!!! a word of advice....dont look down!!!
