It was just another night loitering at Starbucks, with a much too long line, when I saw a guy standing in front of me with some wicked tattoos. I was alone in line so I decided to ask him about his arms, and we got to talking about our tattoos and piercings. Finally we had respectively ordered our drinks and were waiting for them to be made.

I found out that he was an apprentice for a local shop doing piercings. I got to asking about my favourite piercing, the outer labia. Ever since I saw my first Asia Carrera flick I had been lusting after one of those things, but was too much a "pussy" to get it done.

Mike told me that if I came in that weekend I would be able to still get his price as an apprentice since he was going to be a full time piercer come the following week. I was soooo excited, but I just didn't quite know....

Fast forward to the next day. The time was crawling to 12 noon, when the shop would be open. The night before I had gotten out my CBR from my navel piercing (which had hurt like hell and had turned me away from piercing, another story altogether), and took it with me to the shop that day.

We (my friend and I) walked into this trendy piercing/tattoo shop and Mike saw us and waved. I handed him my jewelery and he went back to see if it would work. It didn't, but he said that all he would charge me would be $20. Not bad for work that costs a lot in this area. At this point I am sooo high on adrenailine that All I can do is talk to everyone. I looked at the pics he had of labia piercings that the shop had done. I then found out that I was going to be his first labia ever. EEEK! But this guy had the ability to calm me better than tranquilisers.

Then I had to wait until Spanky finished the other three people before me. Mike couldn't just do the piercing, he had to wait for Spanky to supervise, which made me feel better about the shop in general, even though I have seen tattoos come out of there that are amazing.

Finally I was on the table, joking around, trying to relax, feeling like I am Hell's Gynecologist Office. The place was amazingly clean, cleaner than a lot of doctors offices I have been in. I laid back on the table and told them where I wanted it since I had a numb spot on my lip. Spanky kept pinching it for me so I could tell them if it was the right spot or not. Finally came the forceps, which I think are just plain evil looking. And then the needle which was *really* only 2 inches but in my mind was about 6inches. By the time I went "AAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!! Sorry *giggle*" they were putting in the ring and I was just lounging on the table. I think the next thing I said was, "that was fucking AWESOME!". It really didn't hurt at all and still doesn't. The worst part I think was getting the ring to close properly, it had gotten twisted a little bit so out came those evil pliers, which was I think the longest part of the whole experience. The I got to look at it, and I couldn't believe that this ring was now a part of me and few lucky people. Then came the aftercare speech, which I was just so enthralled with my ring all I could answer in were grunts and nods, because all I wanted to do was stare at this little ring in my lips. The placement I think is really unique because its between the outer and inner labia, caught in one of the flods, not all the way through the outer labia. I think its rather travel friendly because it folds up in me and I can't see it unless I open my lips fully. I can forget that its there, which is nice, because I thought it kinda looked cumbersome lying there. I don't wear underwear anyway, so it just chills there lounging, but every now and then it pinches, and then rearranges itself. I get off on knowing that I have this secret ring, which no one can see unless I want them to. Cleaning it on the first day was rough, but now (2 days later) it doesn't even faze me. Also it didn't help that I made the salt water solution too salty! ;)

So maybe I'll get it a friend on the other side, lol, but I think its the coolest piercing and its definitely a "meow modification".
