I got a christina piercing in September of 2006. I'm just getting around to writing about the experience due to my super busy lifestyle. For background information, please be advised that i've got 21 other piercings, and 5 tattoos. I am a travel nurse, so I'm always out and about the United States, and finding new artists for my work all of the time. Back in September I was living in Nashville, Tennessee.

To my surprise when I returned to the studio to get the christina Brandon no longer worked there. He was a very competent piercer, concerned with teaching, instructions, aesthetics, and proper jewelry type. Feeling down and out about losing a competent piercer in Nashville, I headed to the main studio of Anatomic Art.
I was completely unfamiliar with the area, and there were a few studios on the street, so I didn't notice Anatomic Art at first. In Nashville it's legal to make a u-turn, so I did and ended up at the studio. The front had some really interesting artwork on the walls, and I remember a church-like podium in the front. The walls were painted some very bright colors, and of course I was a little nervous since it had been years since my last genital piercing.
I remember an asian guy walked up front to greet me. He was really cool, explaining to me he was an apprentice tattoo artist and all. Then a guy with long hair, stretched lobes and lots of art came out front. He was actually the manager, and turns out he did my christina piercing too! At this point (as with all of my piercing experiences), I felt like a complete "soccer mom", as my only visable piercings are my ears, tragus, rook, and monroe. Everything was legit. They asked for my identification, and payment, and had me thouroughly explain the type of piercing I wanted. Though the christina piercing is rather self-explanitory, I greatly appreciated being asked for exactly what I wanted.
To the back of the studio, I followed the manager where he directed me to lay down on the padded table. I took my pants off first. Then I spread my legs. I can remember that the piercer marked the area on my pelvic area with a sharpie so that the jewelry would measure correctly. I specifically requested pfte with cubic zirconia clear jewels on the ends. It turns out that the piercer didn't like pfte for christina piercings, so instead he used a curved barbell (sort of like a belly ring), and the only jewels in the shop that fit were red ones. Ah, okay, so it wasn't exactly the specific jewelry that I requested, but it was still pretty jewelry.
With my legs spread, laying supine I felt the needle insert and I let out a huge yell, almost orgasmic. I looked my head up at one point and could tell the piercer was actually breaking a sweat. At that point I was terrified, was everything okay? I was captivated in a sense because i'd never seen a piercer break a sweat. Before I knew it the poor man's head was out of my crotch and he was instructing me too look in one of their full length mirrors at the bedside. I was in complete awe. My christina piercing looked super gorgeous, even captivating!
I walked to the front of the shop where the apprentice said something like "What exactly happened back there?, I heard you yell". I smiled and told him that my new piercing was completely beautiful, and that he'd be captivated if he saw it!
The drive home was no problem, the next few days were no problem, and the piercing has been no problem at all. I refuse to clean with saline solution, so instead I cleaned it three times a day with dial antibacterial soap and water, making sure to get the soap into and out of the piercing holes by gently moving the jewelry through the piercing.
Close to a month later I ordered the clear jewel cubic zirconia curved barbell from ebay to place in my christina piercing. I was worried at first, because I knew it was a bit early to change the jewelry. I took the original barbell out, and then slid the new one in without a problem or snag. I've left my favorite jewelry in for nearly a year now, and continue to love the beautiful jewels on my pelvis!
NOTE::Many people with christina piercings remove the jewelry to shave. I do not. I have not had a single problem, nor do I have left over hairs near the area after shaving. I can shave clean and soft without removing my christina jewelry.
