I've wanted a Christina for a while now, almost 2 years. It was the first piercing I really fell in love with but I didn't have an artist who I trusted to perform it on me. When I got my right cheek pierced back in February of 2002 I met Jason who was apprenticing with Jonah from Spider-Bite. I had a lot of problems with my cheek piercing and found myself more comfortable with him rather than Jonah or the other piercer Zippy. Not that both piercers weren't good people, but Jason and I clicked very well and I immediately trusted him.

I eventually approached Jason about a Christina piercing and he was honest with me that he had not had enough experience with it to comfortably perform it, as he was still learning. So I put it on the back burner for a long time while I waited for him to finish his apprenticeship.

Since then I have gone back to Jonah for a number of piercings including my cheeks, tongue, an industrial, and 6g lobe piercing but I have never felt 100% comfortable with taking my pants off for him. He is an excellent piercer and I know he would do a good job, but my comfort level was there with Jason.

So recently a friend of Jason's informed me that he had preformed a Christina and I was immediately ecstatic, and began to prepare myself emotionally for the piercing. It was a big step for me, a new piercer and a new part of the body to pierce. I began to read through experiences on BME of other's who had had this piercing done to find out more about the pain and healing process. I began to ponder the depth and placement also. It took me two months to be completely ready to get the piercing due to nerves, but Sunday I was ready. I called up my friend Nick with whom I am very close and we headed to the studio after a nice relaxing veg on his couch.

When we arrived at Spider-Bite it was very busy, with 3-4 piercings ahead of me. This gave me some time to cool down and relax. I knew exactly what I wanted and the owner Jon took my license and had me fill out the consent form. When Jason was done with a tongue piercing he came out and told me he was going to do the three piercings that where currently on the table for him, then do mine. He put another person before me so he could spend a good amount of time with me, as he knew I was nervous.

After the other piercings where done, amazingly the shop got pretty quiet, which is unusual, Spider-Bite is always busy. So Jason took me into the piercing room and I admired the new chair they had (which now has stir-ups!) I hiked up my skirt and hopped up onto the chair after taking off my underwear and pointed out to him where I wanted the placement, which was pretty deep and he measured me for the size of jewelry. We decided on a one inch curved barbell for jewelry. He had me hop down and then took me out to the main lobby to show me the jewelry. He then asked what gauge I wanted and I confidently told him a 10-gauge to which his eyes got a little big. I told him I didn't want this piercing to go anywhere, and he assured me that it wouldn't as deep as the placement was combined with the gauge.

Jason put the Jewelry in the autoclave and now the most nerve-wracking part of the wait was on, 15 minutes until it was done. I had adequately calmed myself down but now it started again. I am prone to anxiety, so I tried to take my mind off it. We went out with Jason while he smoked a cigarette and that killed most of the 15 minute wait as we were chatting most of the time.

We went back into the shop and he began preparing for the piercing. Nick gave me a short shoulder rub and then it was time. We both went into the piercing room and I again hopped up onto the table. This time Jason pulled out the stir-ups and had me scoot up farther towards the end of the table. I put my feet in the stir-ups and he put on his gloves and started to clean up the piercing site on my vagina. I was surprised I wasn't sensitive to the touch at all while he was cleaning. He changed his gloves then began to mark placement with a toothpick and ink. It took him a few tries to get it exactly where he wanted it, and then he showed it to me, and it was exactly where I wanted it. So he changed gloves then got out the clamps and started to wrap a rubber band around them and then told me that the clamps were going to be the worst part. I didn't believe him one bit! After he had gotten a good placement with the clamps he stood back up and showed me the needle in it's unopened one time use pack and gave me his speech about it being a one time use needle and would be disposed of in a proper container afterwards.

Nick was holding my hand at this point and my palms where very sweaty; he said he could feel my pulse racing and I believed him. I was getting quite nervous again. Jason put the clamps back on and made sure they where on right, and moved them up and down to make sure they wouldn't slip. The clamps stung a bit, a few sharp pains, but nothing major. He then he told me we were going to go for the piercing now. He picked up the needle and had me do a few breathing cycles, as I was quite nervous now, and my breathing was getting rapid. After a few slow cycles he told me to take a good deep breath in, and let it out, as I let it out he put the needle through. It was a very sharp pain, and I could feel the needle pop through a few layers of skin. I squeaked in pain, yes, I squeaked, and I'm pretty sure I jumped a bit. He told me the worst part was over and asked me if I was ok. I told him yes because it wasn't as bad as I had imagined it would be. He inserted the jewelry and Nic k said something really funny, and I started to laugh as he was trying to put on the ball. This didn't help Jason's cause and I actually had to hold my breath to stop laughing.

I bled a lot, and Jason had a lot of blood to try and clean up off my piercing. He did was he could with cotton balls, but I eventually told him I would finish up the job completely when I got home, as my vagina was very sensitive to the touch and he was liable to stir things up down there if he kept cleaning. I failed to bring a pad, so I had to put a bit of toilet paper on my undies to avoid getting them extremely bloody. I paid Jason and he explained to me the aftercare and then I left after a few high fives and him telling me I'm pretty tough.

For the first 2 hours I was sore, but I went directly back to Nick's house and iced the area, which made it feel much better. After that there has been no pain or discomfort unless I am cleaning it and moving the barbell around. Overall I am very happy with the piercing, it looks great and is very straight.
