To start I'll tell you a bit about my piercings. I have and have had a variety of below the belt piercings. I currently have 3 horizontal hood piercings (14g,12g, 10g) and 2 8g inner labia piercings. I have had a vertical hood piercing done twice (didn't want to heal up for me! It just kinda kept stretching on it's own so the barbell would be loose then after a while I could just pull it right out. Putting a bigger barbell in didn't work either because it would be okay for a bit and then it would just stretch again!) and a christina piercing which also didn't want to heal up probably because of anatomy or something! I'll try getting it redone sometime maybe. Anyway, I decided it was time for another addition. I originally planned on possibly getting 2 outer labia piercings and then add on more over time to make a ladder of about 8 or 10 total (4 or 5 on each side) but I ended up going with 2 more inner labia's.

When I went to my piercer we discussed the options I had. He said it was sometimes quite hard to heal up outer labia piercings and we didn't want it to look too crowded so we decided against that idea. I guess sometimes outer labia piercings can heal up easily and look great but often they will take a long time to heal up and have a tendency to migrate a bit and then they won't all be properly aligned and what not. Since I had already had problems healing up my christina I decided maybe it would be a better idea to go for something else today. My 2 other options my piercer told me would look good was another set of inner labia's about the already existing ones or else another horizontal hood piercing, a tiny one at the top so I'd have 4 horizontal hood piercings. I decided to go for the 2 inner labia's and get the horizontal hood later on. 3 genital piercings in one day, especially one being as intense as a hood piercing didn't sound too appealing so I figured 2 for today would be good.

So we decide on 12g and then I can always choose to stretch them up later (which I plan to do) and he grabs me a mirror and shows me where the rings are going to sit and what they will look like when they're pierced. They looked really good with all my other piercings so that's when I got pretty excited about them. I always get really nervous before getting below the belt piercings because the pain down there is quite different than the pain of getting pierced anywhere else. It's crazy intense for just a second and then it's fine but it's always a bit of a shock when that needle goes through. Anyway, he then made the marks, clamped the left side and I prepared for the intense pain. I find that inner labia piercings aren't quite as bad as hood piercings so I didn't jump or anything like many people do for hood piercings. So left side is done and then the same thing happened on the right. Not so bad. So in go the rings and I'm free to take a look at my new additions. They're beautiful!

He reminded me of the cleaning process even though I know it like the back of my hand and I payed and tipped and was on my way. I will say the first hour or so they did sting quite bad but nothing anyone couldn't handle. After that there was really no pain. They were a tiny bit sore for a few days but after that they pretty much feel like they've been there forever. I do plan to stretch them to 10g and get slightly larger diameter rings because they are sometimes a bit hard to see and look very tiny compared to my 8g large diameter other inner labia piercings.

I've had my piercings for about 3 weeks now and they've caused me no problems. I'm still cleaning them morning and night and they seem to be healing up really well. They aren't at all sore or anything anymore even if they are touched or get pulled a bit. All in all i'd recommend inner labia piercings to anyone because they aren't all that painful to get, they look really nice, and they're really easy to heal! They're also easy to stretch if that's what you are wanting to do. My 8 g ones have stretched a bunch on their own just from the weight of the rings. So I plan on stretching up the new ones in the next few months!

Good luck with your piercings guys!
