Hello there! I'm Stick from Grand Rapids, Michigan, United States. And I finally have what I want! I have written this story almost exactly like it is written on my Myspace page, only a bit more helpful. You will see that at first I say I'm going to get a Christina piercing, but I actually end up getting a VCH instead. This story may not be extremely unique, but I'm sure (or at least I hope) it will help you in some way to calm any fears you might have, or to get you pumped up if you are considering this piercing. Especially if you are like me and this is your first non-conventional! Trust me, before I found all these stories, I was nervous as Hell. So, here's to you, dear reader; may all your piercings belong to you!

So... I'm finally doing it. I have thought about it for years. I've researched it a lot. And I have put it off because I "don't have the time or money to get it done" or I was too scared of the pain. But, later today, I will walk into Mos Eisleys on Division in Grand Rapids (where I am now living with some awesome and very nice people, Meg, Damian, and Andy) and I will walk up to the counter and say "Hi. I'd like a Christina piercing, please."
If you don't know what it is, then go here: http://wiki.bmezine.com/index.php/Christina_Piercing
I want it to look most like the 3rd one. It's pretty.
I also considered a VCH or a HCH. Again, go here: http://wiki.bmezine.com/index.php/Vertical_hood_piercing
Or here: http://wiki.bmezine.com/index.php/Horizontal_Hood_Piercing
But I think I will go with the Christina. I just really like the look of it. And if I like it maybe I'll get one of the other ones later.
Not saying I have the money for it AT ALL, I just don't want to wait any longer.
But the point of this blog is just to say: I'm really excited about this. And if you don't like it, go fuck yourself. And you better enjoy it! I won't be able to for over a month! So you suck! Anyway, I'll post more later, after I get it done.

So, I just got back. Oh my Goddess. It was amazing. It honestly wasn't as moving as an experience as everyone I read said it would be, but still fun none-the-less. So, here's what happened:
We (Meg, Damian, and I) went to Mos Eisleys and I walked in and did exactly what I said I would do. Unfortunately, the piercer that does the more difficult piercings wasn't in. So no Christina for me there. So we left and found a phone book to see if there was anyplace else we could go that would do it. I was set on getting the Christina (as you read above). We only found one place that would do it. And after going there and meeting the piercer there was no way in HELL I was going to let her do it. The girl asked what I wanted and I told her I wanted a Christina, and she showed me a picture of a VCH. She thought that's what I was talking about when I clearly explained that it was not a clitoral hood piercing. It was on the mons pubis above it. Wow. She and her partner had to look it up online and she said "Oh, so basically a surface piercing?" I say, "Well, no, not exactly." And try to explain the difference (which, if you have researched it, you'll know that the difference between a surface piercing and a Christina is the face that there is a lot more risk associated with the placement of a Christina than in most, but not all, other surface piercings). You learn something new every day, huh? After that I looked at Damian and Meg and mouthed the words 'no fucking way.' She asked if I wanted to get it today, so I just politely said "I think I'll shop around a little more first." And we got the Hell out of there fast. She obviously had never done one before and so I wasn't about to trust her with it.
Here is where I give my advice (and yes, I'm sure many people have said it before, but just to make sure everyone knows the importance of it, I will say it again here): Make sure the person you are going to knows exactly what you want to do. They shouldn't have to ask you about where the piercing is supposed to go unless they are confirming that you both have the same idea in mind. They should know and have already done the piercing you want, or else 8 out of 10 times it will be screwed up. Don't cheat yourselves people! Listen! And on top of that, always ask to see the piercer's portfolio! That's all for now.
We called around a little more, and just couldn't find a place that would do the Christina. So I settled and went to Mos Eisleys for the more traditional VCH piercing instead. We went in and waited for our turn, got up to the counter and laughed with the counter guy when he realized I was the same girl from earlier. I told him I was just going to settle with the VCH for now. I filled out the paperwork, and realized the only thing I had had to eat that day was Ramen, so we went to the Chinese Restaurant Meg works at and got food. ^_^
We got back and waited a bit more and it was finally my turn. I was really kind-of calm, but also nervous at the same time. I had read a TON of stories and looked at hundreds of pictures (mainly from BME), but getting it done is just so much different than looking at it. My piercer, Travis, was very friendly and relaxed which I admit made me relax a bit more. So, I wore a skirt because I had read it was way easier that way (so as to 1. not have to undress half of your body, and 2. make it easier on yourself when walking afterwards.), and so all I had to do was pop off the undies and hop on the table. I commented; "It's kind-of like the gynecologist, only not. Hahaha." everyone was laughing because of the silly comments I made the whole time. I also had Damian video-tape it, because I wanted to see the process for myself. We did all the normal stuff, like check positioning and all that jazz. Then came the receiving tube, very cold, kind-of uncomfortable and pinchy, but not mu ch. Just endure it. It's really not that bad. Just make sure it doesn't pinch too much. You should be at least mostly comfortable. I asked if they get many screamers and Meg said she'd scream for me. Damian came back with "Well, it's not like you're getting metal shoved through your vagina or anything." At which we all laughed. I then feel a point and say "Should I be breathing now?" Travis said, "Yeah, just take a couple of slow, deep breaths for me." and on my exhale of the second or third breath he did it. I admit, it did hurt. It felt like... well, it felt like a needle piercing through a very thin layer of skin. Haha. No better way to describe it I guess. But the pain only lasts for 2 seconds. Then it's done. Putting in the curved barbell didn't hurt, but it was a tiny bit uncomfortable, as expected. We used a 14 gauge 7/16" long curved barbell made of implant sterling silver. It fit just fine, and he told me that gauging up one size to a 12 sometime in the future after it heals would probably be good for it. Travis went over aftercare and that was it! It was over! All done! I paid the $51.20 and left a small tip (because all I had at the time was $55) then we said our goodbyes and went on our way. Walking was fine afterward, really no big deal at all. I apparently waddled a tiny bit, but not much. Also, some people bleed, some don't. I'm one of the lucky ones. Only one drop of blood, and it didn't even get on my underwear. (Which, by the way, I would recommend wearing very loose, breathe-able underwear and pants/skirt/whatever. Keep your piercing happy and it will keep you happy!) The rest of the night was un-eventful. We went home, got cleaning supplies, smoked a bit of mint flavored hooka, ate, then Meg and Damian went to bed. And I sit here admiring my tiny, shiny, silver balls. ^_^
