I've wanted a hood piercing for about 3 years, but never had the bottle to drop my keks for some piercer. Until yesterday.I did a lot of reading up on this site and couldn't decide which I preferred, the HCH or the VCH.Also I wasn;t sure about which piercer to go to. I always used to use Under The Skin in Aldershot, but after a dodgy tattoo I had done by one of the guys there, I won't use them anymore. My fiancé has known Andy at Tattooland for about 12 years after having all his tattoos done there, and trusts him implicitly, and so I decided that he was the guy for the job.

I was dreading that as it is a walk in studio there would be a queue of people hearing me ask about a genital piercing. I felt really nervous about having to go in there and asking for a hood piercing. After discussing the options with Andy, I settled for the HCH. I signed all the forms and paid the money and Andy went to get his torture tools ready.
Now I have had a fair few piercings before (both nipples, belly button twice and my tongue, also 7 tattoos), but never have I felt that nervous. I felt shaky and sick when I entered the shop, but Andy being his usual self made me feel a lot more comfortable about what I was going to do.
He told me to come through to his piercing room, and showed me all the stuff that he was going to use. He showed me that the needle was still in it's packaging and that everything he used was sterile. He pointed at his chair and made a joke to try and make me more comfortable. Granted, I was still nervous as hell. I dropped my trousers and sat on his chair. He told me he was going to put numbing spray on it, and that it might sting a bit. Now seriously, that shit is cold!!! He marked me up, and placed the clamp on. That was uncomfortable, but nowhere near as bad as the next bit. He told me not to move and on the count of three, pushed the needle through the skin. I had hold of the arms of the chair so luckily I had something to squeeze cos seriously that hurts!!! For all of about 2 seconds. I had a CBR as Andy sai it heals better that way, he pushed the jewellery through, which was uncomfortable, but nowhere near as bad as the piercing itself. Then it feels a hell of a lot be tter. He told me he was impressed, as most girls that have this piercing make a lot of noise when he pushes the needle through. He told me the usual stuff about aftercare and not to have intercourse or getting other people's bodily fluid on it for 2 weeks, and then had a chat with the other half to decide what they're going to do with the rest of his sleeve.
We said goodbye to Andy and the guys and went on our way. First thing I did was reach for my ciggies and because I was still shaking my other half had to light me one. He was laughing at me and saying I was mad, but as he paid for it he was really glad that I was happy with it. After we left the shop, I had to go to work. Now I work in a pub and being Friday night with a Karaoke, it was really busy. But walking up and down the bar was no problem. Although apparently according to my boss, I was walking like John Wayne. She told me all I needed was te hat and I'd be a proper cowboy!!
All in all I'm really pleased with it, it looks awesome. It's perfectly level and looks perfect. I'm so glad that I finally got the courage to go through with it. It's definately the best £25 I've ever spent!!!! I'd recommend, if you want to get this piercing, go for it!!! It's definitely worth it. Granted it is really bruised at the moment, but I think that the shade of purple looks good on me. I can't wait for it to heal now so I can have a good play with it. My fiance can't wait either!! He keeps trying to get a quick grope, but all the while it's healing I've told him he has to keep his hands off! The only problem is, I just want to show everyone and tell them, but I'm trying to keep my hood ornament a secret!!! The only people that know about it are me, my other half and my best mate and boss.
