I'm not the type that many would expect to be into body modification, I'm a stay at home wife and mother. Many who first meet me view me as being very traditional. The only visible piercing that I have is my simply diamond nose stud, and well most don't view that as to hardcore. So far I have kept all of my tattoos easily hidden. I love my vertical clitoral hood piercing because it's the opposite of how many view me upon first meeting me.
At A Glance Author Meg Contact Meg@bme.anon When Six months ago Artist Cilo Studio Cilo's Location Alamogordo New Mexico I have had my vertical clitoral hood pierced twice now. The first time it was done I had it in for over a year . I adored the first one that I had and encouraged every female I knew to go and get it done. However I was not as careful about keeping the balls as tight as I should have been. About a year after having my VCH done the first time the lower ball fell out and got lost in the midst of the bed sheets. By the time I got a replacement barbell my hole had closed up.
My husband begged me for over a year to go get it done again before I finally got around to going and doing it. It was a couple months before my husband was scheduled to come home on mid tour leave from over seas. I decided to get it done before he came home since he loved my previous one so much. I had recently moved to a new town so I asked around about where would be the best place to get it done at, and a friend of mine referred me to Cilo's where she had gotten her tongue pierced. I called to check and make sure that they do VCH's there I was told that he would have to check and make sure that it would be fine for my body and just to come in any time he was open.
After a couple of weeks we finally had a good time for the two of us to go as she was my moral support. We got to the studio and had to wait about 20 minutes for Cilo to finish the tattoo he was working on. When he was done he had me fill out the paperwork and go on back behind the screen to make sure the scar tissue from my first piercing wouldn't be a problem. He examined it the area and said that there wasn't any scar tissue that he could tell.
He cleaned the area with some antiseptic and marked me up to where I would be pierced. While he set up all his supplies we talked for a few minutes about what I did and didn't like about the placement from my previous VCH. He was extremely professional and took a lot longer on checking the placement and marking me up than my first peircer had. Once he had everything lined up he placed the clamps on, I am still pretty sure that the clamps hurt worse than a needle going through. He had to readjust the clamps a few times which was highly uncomfortable but not painful. Keep in mind I have a very high pain threshold, and how every body handles it is going to be different. Once the clamps were right were he wanted them he told me he was going to go ahead and pierce. I laid my head back closed my eyes and clenched my friends hand. I let out a small yelp as the needle went through it was more out of surprise than anything else. The feeling really is more of a quick pinch than of any actual pain. Before I knew it he had the jewelry in and was wiping up a few drops of blood. I got a little light headed when I stood up to re-dress but that is nothing out of the ordinary for me. I sat back down and had some water while we discussed the procedure and the benefits of the piercing.
Over the next few days I had a small amount of discomfort and bruising but no real pain at all. Cleaned it a couple times a day with warm salt water soaks. Within a week all discomfort was gone . My piecing healed great with no complications and my husband was thrilled with it when he got home. I love this one even more than the first time I had it done. I'm still trying to get all my friends to go have it done. A month ago I had the jewelry changed and the shop commented on what a great job that had been done on the piercing.
It's now seven months later it has healed incredibly well and I am very happy with my piercing. If anyone in the Holloman or Alamogordo area is looking for a piercing I highly recommend going down to Cilos.
