As my list of piercings gets ever more extensive I think its only fair that I mention my latest addition. After my inner labia, I decided on a vertical clit hood piercing, mainly out of intrigue and wouldn't go anywhere else but Bodz in Chester. We miss them being in Liverpool and it's always more like visiting old friends than a piercing studio, so it's well worth a day out. I suppose that I was a little disappointed that an inner labia piercing doesn't really enhance anything, it just serves to look very cool. I have planned this piercing ever since my last piercing was healed.
At A Glance Author anonymous Contact anonymous@bme.anon When It just happened Artist Carl and Shirley Studio The Piercing Bodz Location Chester I needed to have my labia bar trimmed anyway so why not have another piercing done at the same time, its logical isn't it! Anyway after finding that I was suitable for a smaller piercing using a curved bar and smaller balls I decided to be big and brave and go without the anesthetic that is used for genital piercings only. Did come to regret this as it did hurt quite a bit and the clamps felt quite strange. I used anesthetic with my labia and would recommend it on reflection. As my friend was waiting to have her scaffolding and tragus done so I didn't want to keep her waiting whilst it kicked in. Plus I like to be brave and show off!
Anyway a few sharp breaths the needle was through and I managed to avoid crushing Carl with my knees. He told me a few funny stories about ladies trapping piercers in there legs. Definitely eased the tension and a good giggle is excellent pain relief! Inserting the jewelery hurt too, perhaps more of a dull ache pain in contrast to the sharp pain of the needle. The piercing didn't bleed at all but I was handed a sanitary towel to wear just in case. Surprisingly it doesn't hurt at all either unlike my labia which made me walk like a cowgirl for a few hours! I can honestly say that so far I'm not aware that its there. Possibly this was helped by my choice of outfit, no jeans this time, instead a nice floaty skirt so there were no awkward seams to catch on. A tip is to definitely consider your outfit before this piercing, tight pants are a definite no!
As regards to aftercare, I guess I'm a bit of a pro now. Apparently this is one of the quickest and easiest piercings to heal as long as it's treated gently. I have been instructed to take a glass of water in the bathroom with me for after I have been to the toilet. This is to pour over the piercing as they can get quite stingy whilst using the toilet. Sea salt baths are also fantastic for these piercings, the hot water just takes the pain right out. Sex isn't banned but obviously extra care has to be taken to be gentle and clean!
I do have to mention the nice extensive range of shiny jewelery they have now housed in their display case. I'm a bit of a jewelery junkie and can never resist buying a shiny new bauble to adorn myself with. I would rather buy my jewelry from them as they are nice and sterile in pre-packs and Carl will measure your piercing if your not sure on size and even fit it for you. They also seem to have sizes available that I haven't been able to find on web site shops.
Perhaps I go here so much because they use plastic piercing bars which I can guarantee will heal perfectly every time. They can be cut to the perfect size for your body and don't stick in your piercing like a metal bar will. I has a problematic navel piercing that I had done somewhere else, before I new about Bodz, almost on the verge of loosing it, until Shirley put a plastic bar in. The problem had cleared up in a matter of weeks. They also provide an excellent aftercare service, with a special telephone number for piercing emergencies (lost balls, fallen out/knocked piercings)and you are encouraged to go back for your jewelery trimmed.
Quite an embarrassing piercing for people which was overcome by Carl and Shirley's awesome sense of humor. I recommend this piercing but recommend the studio even more. Everybody should go to Bodz in Chester, they're next to the city walls in Rufus Court. The studio is well designed and colorful, not the bland white you normally get in studios. Comfortable leather sofas in the waiting room and a wall filled with pictures and thank you cards from satisfied customers. Eighth piercing for me there and I wouldn't go anywhere else. Every piercing deserves a sticker and a lollypop!
Exceptionally clean and professional with a quirky sense of humor and friendliness you don't get anywhere else. Liverpool misses them severely!
