The easiest piercing I've ever done...

Before I go right into my experience with my VCH just a quick note, I've had my ears, nose, and one large tattoo (side piece) done, and the vertical clitoral hood piercing was by far my favorite and easiest to endure.

A few months ago I was looking to get a new tattoo, but I wanted to research some new piercings so I started checking out bme and contemplating whether I wanted something that would show or that I could hide, anyway I came across the female piercing section. Now I'm a pretty open minded girl but just the thought of piercing any area down there gave me the chills. I looked at different pictures and different articles and started reading about hood piercings and became curious, after reading many other stories on bme I was still skeptical that it was as painless and easy as everybody made it sound, but I started to really want it so I talked to my boyfriend whose only problem was the healing process (no sex for a bit) and decided I'd give it a go.

I woke up one morning, searched online for the highest rated piercing shops in san francisco- I was a little more paranoid about this piercing, i wanted to be absolutely sure the place i was going to had a good reputation. Anyway Mom's Body Shop in san francisco, Ca came up high on the list and i called to make sure the piercer was in and drove there (i recommend finding close parking, I had to walk about 8 blocks right after, not a good idea)

I wore loose comfy pants, and i recommend wearing something easy to slip on and off, I was a bit nervous but all the employees there made me feel totally comfortable, and helped me fill out the usual forms and pick out my jewelry. When I got there I still hadn't decided between a horizontal or a vertical clitoral piercing, so Gary the piercer took me into the bathroom (probably the most awkward part of the experience)to look at me and determined that no horizontal would not work and informed me that it only works on a small amount of people, so vertical it was. He took me back to a flat padded bed and set up screens so it wasn't a separate room, but private enough. He was very laid back and knowledgable he told me he'd been piercing for like 11 years, and he told me when I was ready to lay flat on my back bring my feet right up to my butt and drop my knees toward the bed so that my feet touched each other (like a butterfly position)he then told me that whatever i do, yell scream, curse, just not to move my legs or hit him. He told me everything he was doing while he was doing it, he cleaned the area with an alcohol swab and that stung a little and marked the area, he also explained that it would probably lean one way because hood piercings rarely ever come out "straight" I didn't mind (its not noticeable that its slightly to the left) and told me as he was pulling the skin that what I was feeling was NOT the piercing, but that "THIS IS!" and before I even had time to scream (and believe me I was anticipating the scream)I was just all "really that was it" it hurt, like a pinching feeling but it was over before I could realize what happened. He had me lie there while he put the jewelry in and since he had experience it was quick and smooth (he also just had a soft touch in general) When I stood up I couldn't stop looking at it in the mirror, It was so cute. He then told me how to keep it clean, pretty much standard washing with mild soap and said no unprotected sex for a few weeks (that includes oral)I bled a tiny bit coming home, but it was nothing. The next day I fit into my tightest jeans.

Just for the record-few weeks later my boyfriend and I had amazing sex, my clit is very sensitive and easily stimulated by the jewelry. Not gonna lie-it feels a little different, small things that don't normally do anything feel good; zipping up jeans, sliding into seats. It is absolutely my favorite piercing anyone who is thinking about it I would highly recommend it! I also recommend that before you do it check with your gynecologist just to make sure everything is good to go, especially if your prone to yeast infections, or urinary tract infections (better safe than sorry) But I think my boyfriend and i agree it is worth that second of pain, for all the pleasure. (plus its hot walking around knowing you have it, and no one else knows you have it)
