This is one of those stories you just don't tell to your parents, so here I am- ready and willing to share my story!

I basically promised myself, that come rain or shine, on my 18th birthday I was going to get my hood pierced.
I did most of my research right here on BME, found out everything I needed, or wanted to know(even things I didn't wanna know) Anyways I decided Cactus Tattoo was the best place to go, seeing as I heard they were one of the best choices for such a piercing. Besides that-it's close to home.
So come June 19th I figured it was time, so I took my friends Anna and Brigette along to keep me calm, and to keep me from chickening out, knowing they'd admire me for doing such a massively crazy thing. Tell you the truth-the drive down there scared me sooo much more then actually going inside the studio! Anyways, when we walked in I walked strait up to the counter and told the guys behind the counter-flat out- that I wanted my hood pierced, and my friends laughed at me! The guys behind the counter didn't look a bit frazzled, they basically congratulated me for having the balls(no pun intended) to come strait out with it- they said most girls stood there giggling, with their hands in front of their mouths, and when they finally told Brandon what they wanted they had to whisper it. Hell I didn't care who knew or who didn't know what I wanted done- I just wanted it done!!!
So after I filled out the form and sat around with Anna and Brigette until Brandon had the room all fixed up for me, which only took like 5 minutes(more time to get my nerves goin haha) it was time for my first piercing(besides my ears).
Brandon politely asked me to disrobe from waste down and hop up on the table. Now it was about this time, lying on a table, half naked in front of a man I think I'd seen 2 times in my life, that I was blushing quite a bit. He was the nicest stranger I'd ever met though! That's for sure! He kept me calm while he cleaned me up and fiddled around down there, once he put the receiving tube in it was now or never. He told me to breathe in once then again on the second breath he pierced me....WOW! Haha it only hurt for a second! I was so extatic!!! I thought I was going to scream, but it was the total opposite! I was laughing! I was so proud of myself and so happy I felt like I was going to cry. It took him a few seconds to put in the barbell and screw the bottom ball on, but after that he handed me some gauz and told me I was all done!
I felt confident enough to jump up and down as soon as I got off of the table. It was amaizing! I even talked Brigette into getting it done. So we sat around for another 5-10 minutes while Brandon prepared the room, yet again. Which was fine by me because I was high off of adrenaline, and excited to see what I went through mere seconds ago. Finally he was ready for us again, went through the whole disrobe from waste down routine again, soon she was on the table too getting the exact same thing done. I was so proud of her too! So once she got done we went to pay, and guess what?! It was our lucky day! Buy one piercing-get one half off! We even left Brandon a nice juicy tip for being the most awesome stranger we'd ever showed our gineys to! Haha, no he was totally professional and made us feel so unbelievably calm and comfortable. Besides that-we totally confessed to eachother we both thought he was cute on the ride home;)hehe
It's been 2 months(I know it says 3 but they didn't have a space for 2 months)and I'm perfectly healed. Actually I stopped feeling it after a week! I had to actually check that I still had it!
Getting my hood pierced was one of the most amaizing and fufilling experiences I have ever went through. I reccomend this piercing to anyone and everyone who as ever thought of is. It's lots of fun and totally worth the pinch of pain you feel..that is if you really want it! Plus-it heals soo quickly!(another reason I liked the idea) Oh and If you're from MN- hell even if you're not! I'm a proud supporter of Cactus Tattoo!
