I asked her what she thought about it and if it hurt. I don't remember what she said but it didn't even matter as I have learned in the past, it doesn't matter if one person thinks that a procedure does or doesn't hurt, because people are completely different with pain. I had thought numerous times on whether to get my clitoral hood pierced as I was afraid of the pain and the not being able to have sex for 4 weeks. I researched info on the net and thought ok, I'll do it if I ever get bored enough to inflict pain.
One night when all my friends were asleep and I couldn't get to bed, I decided to go and get my clitoral hood pierced. I had started my period that day, and everyone I spoke to and the research I did said it is best to get it done when on your period so you will not get it infected if you start it after you get it pierced. I was worried because I wasn't exactly sure how much it would hurt, if at all, and I wasn't exactly sure I wanted a guy to pierce my clitoral hood and see I had a tampon in.
I went to the shop, about a block or so away from my house and went in and told the man what I wanted. I sat there and picked out a cute little curved barbell with a baby blue stone. I told the guy that is what I wanted and we went to the backroom after I filled out the paperwork and paid the money. I had to pull my pants and underwear down and lay on the bed while he made a dot where he was going to make the piercing. I then sat up and looked in the mirror to see if it was alright. All I was thinking was, "Who cares what it looks like, please do this before I chicken out". I then laid down and he cleaned the area and such and then pierced my clitoral hood vertically. It didn't hurt as much as my belly, which I still think is the worst piercing I have ever got, pain wise. The only time it really hurt was when I had on tight clothes and when I touched it. It didn't take long for it to heal, it never got infected, and I had sex within a week of having it done. I made sure to clean it everyday, more then once a day, with dial soap.
It wasn't bad having my period as I used tampons and the only time I ever had my tampon out was to change it or to take a shower, so it wasn't a "big deal" and I was in no way worried of infection. When I did have sex, it hurt a little as the piercing was touched but it felt good more then it hurt. I have got to say it was the best, easiest, and painless piercing I have had to date. I love it and it didn't hurt, get gross looking, or anything.
I have since taken it out because when I would sleep, I slept with my hand down my underwear and would play with it at night, without knowing it and would rip at it at times and I was afraid I was going to rip it out and have a severe scar or "ugly" clitoral hood. It has since healed with no trace of it ever being pierced, I am actually thinking of maybe getting it redone, but my husband will have to decide that one. It didn't "excite" me as I hoped it would. When I walked, moved, etc I didn't feel like I was going to have an orgasm. The only "sexual" things it helped with was when I was having sex and I would rub the guys skin on my clitoral hood ring which would rub on my clit.
Also, my husband says that when we first met he wasn't that great at giving oral sex because he never knew if he was doing it right but with my clitoral hood being pierced, it helped him to always now where my clit was and he liked it. Men also think it is very sexy and it turns them on to see it. You can also get a barbell with a vibrator on the end so you can "play" with yourself more "easily". And, if you are ambitious like me, it gives you one more thing to show off. Everyone who seen it loved it and I never regret having it done. I would recommend it to anyone.
