I had my nipples pierced for about seven months, and I loved every second of them. So, I started contemplating getting another piercing, but where to put it? I had never really considered getting any sort of genital piercing before, but a friend of mine that I was discussing my desire to get something else pierced brought it up. I thought about it and decided I wanted to have something done in that area, but what?
At A Glance Author KC Contact KC@bme.anon When Three months ago Studio Ace Body Piercing Location Ellensburg, WA I spent some time online searching for exactly what I wanted, I had originally wanted to have my clit pierced because I had heard how amazing it can feel after healing, however in the event that something went wrong I could end up damaged and desensitized I would be crushed. After contemplating, I decided that I wanted a vertical hood piercing, but I was not sure if the shop I usually go to for piercing did genital at all, I had never even thought about it. So I was delighted when I found out that she had done many genital piercings and had a portfolio that I could check out before the procedure. I did not make an appointment, I figured I would wake up one day and decide to go do it.
The next day I woke up and it was the day, I went to my classes completely distracted by what I was about to get done. My best friend was willing to go with me, but she was not going to be free for a few more hours, I told her that I would wait for her but I needed to run some errands and I would go make sure that the piercer would be in later in the evening.
I stopped by the shop and she told me she could do it right then, and I figured that since I was already there, why not? I have to say that I was a little concerned because I had my special visitor; she assured me that it was not a problem at all especially since I had used a tampon. We went through the pictures in the portfolio to make sure that her and I were on the same page about what I wanted to have done. Apparently a lot of people come in and think they want one piercing, when actually it is another one, so she uses the portfolio to make sure it is exactly what the client wants. I paid, picked out my jewelry (with cute little pink rhinestones), went to the bathroom to clean myself up first, and then followed her into the piercing room.
As always, her set up was very clean. She instructed me to take off my pants and sit on the bench. I am not a shy person so it did not bother me too much to be sitting/laying there with one leg hanging off the table and the other propped up to expose my private little area. We joked a bit about how she had now seen just about every part of my body so what is the point of being shy. She cleaned and marked the location, and told me that, once again, I was going to be easy to pierce. She chose to use some small clamps, which were extremely uncomfortable, but the worse was yet to come, she told me to take some deep breaths and not to kick her when she put the needle through. Three seconds later, I understood why she said this, it was the most intense instance of pain I have ever felt, but it only lasted a fraction of a second. She put the jewelry on with little discomfort and handed me a hand mirror so I could check it out, it looked fabulous!
She told me to only use salt soaks and water on it, as soaps would mess with the natural pH of the area and cause girly infections. I put my pants back on and headed out tell my friend I decided not to wait. It did not hurt at all, and I found that when I went up or down stairs that the feeling was quite nice.
It was tender from time to time during the first week, and did bleed a slight bit, but panty liners took care of it nicely. I salt soaked it twice a day and it healed up very nicely. I think I waited only three days or so before I tested it out for myself, and a week before my boyfriend got to see it, we were very gentle with it, I cannot say that I would suggest playing too soon as it was quite uncomfortable if it got bumped in the wrong direction.
It has been about three months now and I still love it, I found that it is very necessary to get a shorter barbell after the swelling goes down, it is much much more comfortable. Also, It makes it a lot less likely to get caught on anything, I unpleasantly discovered that if the barbell is too long during "playful" sex it can be quite painful as it can get caught on your partner.
I would have to say that it is my favorite piercing, I love it very much and would suggest it to anyone. It heals quickly and without much fuss, much quicker, easier and less painful (during the healing process) than navel, nipples, nostril, or tongue. So my advice: if you are thinking about it, just do it, the brief instance of pain is well worth the results.
