I had been looking at getting a new piercing for awhile and liked the idea of getting one that not very people I know would have and also one that was a little bit naughty, so I decided on a below waist piercing. I did lots of research on the internet and used BME alot to look at the pictures and decided which type of clit piercing I found most attractive looking. After looking at hundreds of pictures and reading the experiences of other people I decided on a horizontal hood piercing.

The next problem was to find a place in Paris to do it (and preferably a piercer who spoke english!). Piercings still aren't that common in France, although they are starting to become more popular, so i couldn't ask any of French friends for a recommendation of where to go. So back to the internet. I found 23Keller on the Piericing Associations website and also a few sites where people had been pierced by Dominique there. After umming and haaing for a couple more weeks i finally picked up the phone and agreed to go in on the next Saturday to have it done.
The big day arrived and after spending the morning locked in the bathroom de-fuzzing my private parts I was ready. I grabbed my best friend to and off we set to the studio, we got completely lost trying to find the piercing studio as it's in a part of Paris we didn't know very well so by the time we arrived I was really stressed and anxious.
As soon as we walked into the studio I felt alot better it was really nicley decorated and had a very relaxed chilled out atmosphere. I had to wait at the counter whilst Dominique spoke to someone which helped as he seemed really helpful and professional. Also people were popping just to check that their new piercings were ok which really reassured me as I knew the aftercare would be good.
Finally it was my turn and in my stumbling french I explained that I had an appointment to get my hood pierced. Dominique replied in perfect english! He toook me through to the piercing room so that I could see the equipment and also so he check that I was physically capable of the piercing done.
At first it was really hard for him to look as I was so stressed my knees refused to open! But after a couple of mins chatting it was ok and he was able to examine me. It felt really strange to have someone mesuring my hood with a pair of calipers and twisting it this was and that but Dominique was great and explained to me that he had to do it otherwise I might have problems with the piercing.
Once he had confirmed that I was ok for the piercing we chose the jewellery, I chose a lovely little hoop. So then it was time for me to go back into the waiting room whilst he got everything ready (and for me to have one last ciggie!).
Then it was time, I was really suprised how relaxed I was and managed to get undressed and open my legs with no problems this time. He asked me to start breathing deeply and then as I breathed in he pierced, it really didn't hurt a felt a kind of tugging which wasn't very comfy as he put the jewellery but then it was over, I looked down and saw the cute little ring and started grinning like chesire cat! I was on a real high, Dominique asked he could take a picture as he hadn't done a horizontal piericing for awhile - that picture is now on his website.
Dominique explained the aftercare to me - I had to buy some antibacterial soap and wash the piercing with it twice a day making sure that I washed all the the soap of afterwards. Sex was banned for awhile was masturbation and baths. He said I could come back anytime or call if I had any problems or if I wanted to change the jewellery.
My hood healed really quickly and painlessly, i kind of broke the rule about masturbating after a couple of days and after fiddling around for bit trying to find a new angle for my fingers it felt great! I'm not sure if it really makes a bit difference sensation wize now but it certainly helps - kind of and ring marks the spot so my boyfriends have no excuse for not knowing where to touch!
To anyone thinking of getting it done I would say go for it, it's a great peircing. Also anyone in Paris thinking of getting a piercing I would really recommend Dominique, he's maybe a little more expensive than some of the others but it's worth it!
