As I write this, my new piercing is three days young. It is my first genital piercing, but my fourth piercing all together.

Little did I know. I have always thought that I was conservative but the older I get, the more I need to do things to please myself and nobody else, without worrying about what society thinks.
My husband decided that he wanted to get a PA and asked if I would consider getting a piercing also. I went online to BME and read tons of stories to get an accurate idea of what to expect. After studying lots of pictures of the different genital piercings, I decided on a vertical hood piercing. I wasn't sure if my body was built for it, but knew that I wanted this instead of the horizontal piercing. Besides, I liked the look better and thought it would give better stimulation. I called one of the local shops in my city (there are only two), and talked directly to the piercer. Her name was Dee and she had been piercing for about 5 years. The shop is regulated by DHEC so I thought that this was a good thing. I got a lot of information from her and decided that as soon as I could get the funds we would go see her.
When my hubby got home from work on Tuesday, he said it was time to go see Dee. We didn't need an appointment so off we went. It is only about 5 minutes from our house so there wasn't much time to change our minds. I was definitely nervous but excited just the same.
When we arrived, we talked to Dee about what we wanted. She had a tongue piercing to do before us, so we wandered around the shop and looked at the jewelry we would eventually get until it was our turn..
When we finally got back into the room, She asked us if we cared if her apprentice watched, and since he needs the experience, we said sure. She told me she would use a 14g curved barbell for my piercing. I explained to her that I had a metal allergy of some sort (a lesson learned with my previous piercings) and needed to use titanium. She said this was not a problem and proceeded to show me the jewelry and let me choose the color. I opted for blue, because pink would blend in and not be as visible. She put on gloves and got out all the tools necessary, changed gloves again, and had me strip down and then climb up on the table. I chose to use the stirrups because it was comfortable for me. Dee made sure that I could accommodate this particular piercing and to my relief, she said it would work perfectly. She changed gloves so many times that I lost count. It seemed that each new step had a new pair of gloves. I have to say that she was very good about keeping things as sterile as possible.
I felt pretty relaxed during the initial exam but when she started marking where it go, I started getting nervous again. It took her a few minutes to get it marked where it was straight and I started to tense up. She asked if I wanted to see where she had it marked but I let my man decide since he had a better view. He said that it was great. I had heard that the receiving tube was uncomfortable but I really didn't even feel it. She asked me to take a deep breath in and she would pierce on the exhale. I held onto the edge of the table to keep from jerking at all. My husband says that only one leg moved. I can say that it hurt, but not as bad as my nipples did. I felt more discomfort when she put the barbell in, than when she actually pierced. She cleaned everything up and asked if I wanted to look. Well, of course I needed to see my newly adorned hood. Boy, is she pretty now. She is all dressed up.
Dee went over all the aftercare procedures with me as I proceeded to get redressed. She told me not to use sea salt soaks, which was contrary to everything else I had read. She provided me with Provon soap and instructed me to cleanse daily with this. I have also heard to follow your piercers instructions so I will. I jumped on the back of my hubbies motorcycle and off we went.
I thought that I would feel some kind of erotic sensation during the first couple of days, but not to happen. I am hoping this is not indicative of loss of sensation. I don't even feel that it is there. I thought that it would be sore and might bleed but there wasn't any blood after the initial pierce. The only discomfort that I have had so far feels like a bruise. Now, if I happen to bump it just so when I wipe, I feel a little discomfort, but other than that, nothing. I can't wait to heal completely so I can try it out. My husband is just as excited about it and it doesn't even stimulate him. The bar seems to be a little long for me so when I am healed I will change to a 3/8 inch bar with a bigger ball on the bottom side.
I would definitely recommend this particular piercing to any woman wanting a genital adornment.
