Let me start by saying that to look at me, you would never know I have anything pierced or tattooed. Currently I have three tats and three body piercings. I love them all! My most recent piercing is actually one that I swore up and down I would never ever do. I looked at some of the pictures on BME of hood piercing, as well as reading many of the experiences, but still I was not convinced to do it. I recently pierced my tongue and said that was my final piercing. I like to be able to hide my piercings and could not think of any others I could get that would be easily concealed. As far as my piercings go, none of them were really painful. Actually the tongue was completely painless and the naval was barely a pinch. That is not to say that someone else won't be in severe pain, as a friend of mine nearly passed out during each of her piercings from what she called "severe unbelievable pain". I however, have not experienced this "pain". Maybe because I have gone through natural childbirth and after that, nothing seems too painful to handle. I also have a very high tolerance for pain and always have.

About 2 weeks after getting my tongue pierced, I was looking around on BME with my husband and he wanted to look at the various genital piercings. So we went through the male piercing types and then went on to the female. Well, after looking at them once again, I started to give it more thought. My husband normally could care less what I do with my body as long as I don't share it with anyone else and I was shocked when he asked me if I would get a hood piercing. Well, that was it. I had to do it then. He never asks anything of me and the thought that this might actually be a turn on for him was a plus.
I have used three of the main tattoo and body piercing studies here in town and decided that I would go back to the Tattoo Gallery. Denny had actually talked to me regarding a hood piercing a while back and I just didn't want to do it at the time. So I called and asked prices. Which were far more reasonable that what I imagined they would be.
I have gotten my other piercings done without my husband being there or even having knowledge of what I was doing until he saw the hole there. This time he wanted to go and so I had to wait until we both had the time to go and the shop was open. I was sitting here reading more experiences on BME and looked over at him and said, "Let's go". He didn't think I would actually do it, but I was set and wanted to go right then. I had gone back and forth for a couple of weeks as to whether I wanted to this or not and had finally got the guts to go.
We arrived at the studio and the girl that works the front was really helpful and asked me what type of piercing I wanted. I told her vertical hood, so she showed me my jewelry options and I picked out my little curved barbell. I had to wait a few minutes for Denny to finish with another client and then it was my turn. I read a lot of experiences about the hardest part being taking off your pants in front of strange people. Well, I guess I must be weird because honestly I didn't think about it any other way than I would think about going to the doctor for an annual exam. My husband went in with me. Denny was training an apprentice at the time and asked if I minded him observing. I figured that they have to learn somehow and most women would be really uncomfortable with him being in there looking so closely at what was going on, so I told him I didn't mind. So here I am naked from the waist down with three men staring at my crotch which I found a little bit funny actually. Denny actually has the measuring deal out and is measuring my clit and then the jewelry and then my clit. The worst part for me was waiting or him to get everything marked and measured. I was ready to get it over with. He talked to me about what I should do and what I shouldn't and told my husband what he should do, etc. He was also telling the apprentice what needed to be done when doing a vertical hood and that is probably why it took longer than usual for the piercing to actually take place. He told me I was built right and could get a horizontal hood, but I wanted the vertical.
Well, it is time for the actual piercing and I am not even nervous. He puts the receiving tube in place and by this point my legs should have been about to vibrate off the table, but I am actually very calm. He tells me to breath in and then out and then I felt what I will call pain, but only for a split second. The only thing I can equate it to is falling off a bike and hitting that bar. Most of you girls know that pain. Well, it feels like that, but it is over so fast you almost miss it. He inserted my jewelry and I was done.
And actually, that is the only pain I have felt since. There is absolutely no pain or discomfort whatsoever. Nothing like my navel piercing which is six months old and is just now starting to heal up. But that is another story all together. All in all, this was a very good experience from a really awesome piercer. Everything was very clean and sterile. Denny was very professional, as was his apprentice.
Now as far as sex goes. Well, let me say YES! There is a difference. I have always had an excellent sex life with my husband, but now it is just enhanced...a lot! I recommend this piercing highly. Don't worry about the pain. There really isn't any to speak of. It did hurt a bit more than my tongue or navel, but it is over so fast. If you have any questions, feel free to e-mail me.
