My vertical hood piercing!

A few months ago, my boyfriend of over three years approached me with the idea that I should get genital piercing. My initial response was, "hell no". After my harsh response, my boyfriend dropped the idea but it stuck inside my head. The more I thought about being pierced in the most private of places, the more intrigued I became.

A week or so after my boyfriend had first suggested a genital piercing I told him that I was actually considering the idea. Needless to say, he was very surprised and very anxious for me to say "yes". Since the idea was his to begin with, I asked him to do some research for me. If he wanted me to get pierced, he was going to come up with some good reasons of why I should do it. To his advantage, he found this web site, which made his work very easy.

After introducing me to the BME web site, the two of us sat down together to read through many of the personal experiences and look at the different genital piercing pictures. I was extremely impressed with the quality of the site and the amount of information available to us. After reading through many experiences, I was easily convinced that a genital piercing was for me. The sexual advantages of such a piercing had me sold.

The majority of the stories we had read through were horizontal hood piercing experiences. From my visual aspect, I liked horizontal hood piercing over the vertical. I liked the ring vs. the barbell and I thought the vertical piercing could only be done with a barbell. I was wrong. From the experiences I had read, it sounded like the horizontal piercing was more sexually enhancing due to the resting position of the ball of the ring. I was wrong once again.

Just a little over two weeks ago, I had informed my boyfriend that I wanted to go through with the piercing. Needless to say, he had the biggest grin on his face. Since my boyfriend was so helpful at finding this web site, I asked that he help me find a piercer in town (preferably a female). Once again, my boyfriend did a great job. He found Crystal at Evolution Inc. in Albuquerque, NM. He had also made an appointment for the two of us to meet with Crystal and check out the store before actually going through the piercing.

The following Saturday, my boyfriend and I pulled up to Evolution Inc. and walked inside to meet Crystal. The inside of the store was incredible. The store was graced with a water fountain and a few large fish tanks. The room was unbelievable and as spotless if not more than a doctor's office. Crystal walked out from the office and we introduced ourselves to her. She was very polite and friendly. She remembered her conversation over the phone with my boyfriend and knew exactly why we were there.

Crystal first took the time to talk with the both of us about the piercing. I told her that I wanted a horizontal hood piercing, mostly for sexual reasons. She informed us, that if I were looking for sexual enhancement from a piercing, a vertical piercing would be the way to go. She explained that the constant pressure on the clitoris from a vertical piercing would be much greater than the ball of a horizontal piercing resting on the clitoris. Crystal also informed us that the vertical piercing could be done with a ring and not just a barbell. In little to no time, her sweet kind personality and professionalism had me sold on getting a vertical hood piercing from her. After talking Crystal took my boyfriend and I into the back to check and make sure that I was even suitable for the piercing. Washing her hands and putting on clean surgical gloves Crystal made me feel comfortable. It was very awkward for me to have her looking at my genitals but her professionalism put me at ease. It turned out I was suitable for the piercing and she was willing to do it. My boyfriend and I made an appointment for the following Saturday to come back and get pierced by Crystal.

The following Saturday my boyfriend and I showed up to Evolution. Needless to say, I was nervous as can be. Crystal welcomes us back and has me fill out a release form. After filling out the paperwork, she leads my boyfriend and I into the back again. Stripping down, Crystal had me lay down and place my legs into stirrups. As crystal is washing her hands and putting on gloves, she's explaining the procedure to the both of us. Everything she uses is sterile out of the packet. She started off by marking the piercing with a dye and a toothpick. After making the markings, she let me see and give her my approval. Finally after what had seemed like hours, the moment of truth had arrived. She placed a receiving tube under my hood and started having me take deep breaths, in and out. On the second set of deep breaths, the needle went through and "ouch". Damn, that hurt for about twenty seconds and then it was all over. There was a little stinging but the major pain was over. After placing the ring into place, Crystal handed me a mirror to take a look. It was so beautiful! After getting dressed, Crystal went over the rules and cleaning procedures with the both of us (no sex for a while, damn). She walked us out to the front, where we paid and tipped her goodbye.

Crystal really did a wonderful job with my vertical hood piercing and made me feel as comfortable as anyone could in that situation. I would really like to thank my boyfriend for giving me the idea and helping me research and go through with the piercing. If there are any girls out there, who are considering a genital piercing, please take the time to research, look around and learn all you can about the piercings and procedure. For something as special as a genital piercing it's worth the wait. Now, I just can't wait till my healing time is up and I can try it out with my boyfriend!
