Ok... a few words of advice here....

If someone pierces your nipples for you, they're cool.. but DON'T let them pierce your clit!

Totally totally different story here...... I trusted Joe, and he had done a lot of other people before as well. So, really, I wasn't scared at all. But let me tell you.... your clitorus is a completley different ballfield.

I first wanted to get my clit pierced.... well actually, after visiting this site. I thought that they looked cool, and I have a few friends who have had it done by my friend Joe. I didn't think that I would feel comfortable with Joe doing it for me (let's just say we had a past) so I decided to look around for a studio first. I went to Berkely, Concord... San Francisco. But, I didn't find an artist that I liked or felt comfortable enough with, so I returned to Joe and asked him to do it for me.

So, I went over to his house one night with my best friend Delany, and my boyfriend at the time Brandon. Joe had told me to tell him when I was ready, so I waited around for a while. We got to his house at around seven oclock that night and watched The Matrix and talked it up a little while before I could get the courage up enough to tell Joe that I was ready. I was really really nervous, and I was afraid that something might happen, but somehow, I found the words and said "Ok, I am ready"

We all went upstairs to his bathroom. I sat down on the tub and Brandon and Delany put on my favorite song (Nerf Herder, "For You") to relax me. Joe said that he was going to go to his room where he would get his "piercing kit" or so he called it.

When he came into the bathroom I had calmed down (ok, yes I know, I was a weenie...... but I went through with it). Delany and Brandon held my hands as Joe did his work. I removed my pants and underwear (which were powerpuff girls might I add!!! =), and the process was underway.

He first numbed my clit with some ice... that was probably the most painful part of this whole experience. It was soooo cold, but I am glad that he did it because if he didn't I bet this whole thing would have been involved with a tremendous amount of pain. I had taken two 800 mg motrins earlier that night, so I was already pretty much ok. I had chosen a ring at Hot Topic earlier that week, it was a sterling silver hoop with a hot pink ball on it. I liked it very much, and I was very syked to get it done. I closed my eyes so I wouldn't have to look, I thought that I would chicken out =)

The process itself was quick and painless... He inserted the needlem and before I knew it the ring was in. He cleaned me up with some antibacterial soap and warm water. At first I was kind of afraid to get up because I thought that it would hurt, but suprisingly it didn't hurt at all! The next few days were cool too I loved it so much. The next few weeks were also good, But after about a month or so I noticed a lot of soreness that wasn't there before. It was starting to get red and it was really getting painful, to the point that it was uncomfortable to walk.

I waited it out for a couple of days deciding what to do, and Well, needless to say, it got infected and I had to take the ring out. After a few months of healing and regaining my courage to get it done again, I did get it done again in a studio in Berkely that I had been to before for my tongue. The lady was really really nice and she explained everything that was happening as she was doing it. Brandon was there once again but this time I was not so scared at all. I think that the reason why I was so edgy before was because I knew that Joe was not a professional. I didn't want anything to go wrong. This time, I chose the same type of ring, but Instead it had an open end with two purple balls on it. The whole studio experience was really neat, and I even got to keep a few of the pictures that they took of the proces. Sorry, to say, I do not know where those pictures are. I went in there the other day, and it was so wierd to see my own clit on their wall =)

Now, my clit and I are completley happy =)

So, the moral of the story is, be safe, go to a studio if you want it done right the first time. Of course, there are people who can do It well at home, but do you really want to risk it? "Pay the money, save your clit."
