The other night my wife said "I suppose your going to pierce your dick next" (see my previous experiences under male nipple piercing - Midlife Crisis). I said no way that sounds to painful. Just the thought of it brought tears to my eyes, however over the next week I kept on thinking about it. I could pretty much handle the pain after enduring all of my other self piercing's I decided that was it, I was going the whole hog and pierce my penis. I did not know the various types of piercings available (the internet connection was down, so no BME to reference). I thought it best to pierce vertically, thinking that would probably give the most pleasure to my partner. So considerate and unselfish of me !!! No one in my town seams to have done this type of piercing sticking to the main stream navels, noses and nipples. Having no one to ask I went out and bought the longest and 2nd longest size stainless steel tongue barbells (14 Gauge) I could find, thinking that this was the most logical thing to use.

I had already invested in a box of medical latex gloves and hypodermic needles (18G – 1.2mm the largest the chemist sold). I had a quick shower washing my hands and penis with medical soap. I sat on the edge of the bath put on the gloves, pulled back the foreskin and cleaned the top of the Glans with medical alcohol. Shit that burns, especially if any gets into your urethra. By now I had a hard on, which explains what happened next.
I gauged how far back the top hole could go without exiting through the urethra on the underside of the Glans. I felt that this would be less painful as half of the barbell shaft would be in the slit at the bottom. This done I proceeded to push the needle though. The hardest part was breaking through the outer surface which felt as tough as Rhino hide. The other hand was used to keep the slit apart, so that the exiting needle would not nick the sensitive inside.
Ok I must admit it did hurt (a constant burning sting) , but not as much as my deep navel piercing. I sat looking at the needle through my penis thinking you must be bonkers ! There was now a little throbbing but nothing major. I had a smoke to steady the nerves before continuing to stage 2 , inserting the barbell.
I realized the shorter one would be more appropriate. Whist retracting the needle I followed it through with the barbell with one ball fitted, as per normal. Big mistake as you can imagine (18 gauge needle, 14 gauge barbell with threads that grated) ouch !!!
I stopped halfway, however the needle had a mind of its own continuing to exit. As it fell out a spray of blood splatter the tiled wall above the bath. It was like something out of the Texas chain saw massacre. I did not realize there would be so much blood. I had to do something fast so I pushed the remainder of the barbell shaft through and threaded on the ball . That did the trick sealing the leak. By this time my penis had shriveled up from the shock and had retreated for cover. I wiped up the mess and rearranged the foreskin. I now had to pee. I remembered that urine can help the healing process. So I held the foreskin closed allowing the area to balloon up before releasing. It burnt a bit but washed the blood away.
The wound healed up within 4 days, however taking the barbell out longer than a half a day can be difficult as the hole wanted to close up. I haven't had sex with it in yet, as I am saving it up for a surprise for our 10th wedding anniversary. My wife whoever has notice something different however, saying it feel good (probably the scar tissue). I did however give myself a hand job the other day with it in to try it out ( intense orgasm wow !!)
I have since been told that this is a reverse PA. I decided to even up the other night by continuing the piercing through the bottom have at the base of the Glans. No blood at all. I have now put in the longer barbell as it is now angled slightly backwards. I went for a motor cycle ride this morning with now problems. In fact it was quite a nice sensation. As to forthcoming attractions I don't know maybe sideways through (an Ampallang) ?
My advice to anyone thinking about this self piercing is don't. Rather first read up all you can and get a professional to do the job. I was stupid and lucky !
