pierced, and didn't have a very clear image of what it really looked like, so I started researching studios, and putting names of piercings to their correct region...
The main reason I wanted to explore genital piercings was to add/enhance sensation during sex with my girlfriend, so i considered the female anatomy, and then considered the placement of jewelry, and decided that an RPA would "hit the spot" for her, and stimulate one of the most sensitive areas on the male anatomy (the glans)...
After speaking with numerous piercers/piercees on bme chat, i decided to get the RPA done at 8 gauge, and then stretch to a 6 gauge as soon as I could...
I called a few local shops and asked if someone there had experience performing this piercing, and if they would be comfortable doing it at 8 gauge...
I spoke with a girl at Body Manipulations, who said that Paul would be the best piercer there to fill that order...
So, I made the appointment, got there, got nervous, and my name was called...
Paul was very professional, and calm, and really helped assure me that while it would be painful, if I could tolerate my tragis being pierced at the gauge they were (8), then more than likely the RPA wouldnt be too bad...
Well, he was half right...
He explained the whole process, and showed me all the tools he was going to use, and asked me if I wanted to lay back or sit up to watch the piercing...
Of course I wanted to see what was going on, so I elected to sit up...
As much as I had heard about the receiving tube, i anticipated much more discomfort, but it wasn't that bad...
kinda like a pinch...
he then began the piercing, and when the initial bevel passed into me it felt like a pinch with a hot pair of tweasers...
when the second bevel passed into me, it was more intense and i my back straightened, and i got really tense and placed a death grip on the sides of the table...
at this point, I could see a small white lump on the top pf my glans,
where the needle was pushing the blood away from the hole where it would emerge...
When the needle emerged, my girlfriend (who was with me the whole time) said that my face got fire engine red...
It was probably from me supressing the word "Fuuuuuuuuck" from resounding through the studio...
I remember almost leaving my seated position on the table...
It felt like my neck stretched about a foot, and have never sat with more perfect posture in my life =)
when paul uttered the words, "OK it's through" i slumped and immedialtey the pain ended...
i was sitting there with an 8 gauge needle thru my glans, and alot of endorphins cruising through my system...
he fitted me with a 11/16ths cbr, and it felt really cool...
a little heavy, but i liked it...
I got home, and removed the gauze to look at it, (and i really had to pee)...
The first pee was moderatley painful, and not too much blood...
The second pee came about 20 minutes after the first and that hurt a little less, but there was SOOOO much blood in the bowl it looked like a scene from a horror film...
I aksed my brother (who is also pierced, all above the waist) if he wanted to see it, and he was able to muster up the courage to come look as I was blood letting into an already crimson bowl...
My GF came in after he left and asked what happened, because "David kinda just came back into the room, very pale, with his head in his hands"...
Poor guy...
I got a good laugh outta that, and performed the first soaking and cleaning...
I have pretty sensitive skin, so after a day or two of a very irritated glans, I ended up diluting a solution of 60% provon antiobaterial soap, and 40% water, and saline soaks for about a month...
After that i was pretty well healed, yet still tender during intercourse...
About 3 months after I got my RPA I switched from that CBR to a nice curved barbell...
I initially changed the jewelry because the CBR was tearing up my GF's insides...
I loved the look of the new jewelry, and loved the feel, but that too proved to be painful for my GF, so we tried sex without it, and she enjoyed it much more than she had since i was pierced...
I guess when i look at the whole experience, it was aesthetically pleasing to me, but in impeded our sex life because of accomodating the tenderness of the new piercing, and then the issue of it wrecking up my girlfriend...
i can honestly say i miss it, but am not sure if i would go thru the whole piercing and healing process again...
My current piercings include both tragis at 8 Ga.
SCrotal piercing 4 Ga.
both lobes at 8 ga.
not sure if i am going to put any more holes in me, but am focusing more on tattoos...
