Here's the story of a piercing. It's been months since my last piercing, a PA, has healed and I have it stretched up to a 2 ga. I then decided that I needed something new. I thought about a guiche but the FAQ's said there are problems with migrating and healing due to warm weather. Maybe I will due that this fall or winter when it is cooler and perspiration is less. I searched around BME and finally decided on a Reverse PA. I thought it would compliment the PA nicely. But me being the type that is extremely shy there is no way I can go to get it done. It would never happen. I also tend to believe that if you want something done right you do it yourself. (I know this doesn't hold true for everything, but it helps me justify my decision, OK?)(Although I still do not condone what I do.) Go see a real piercer, It's not worth messing up.

The Dirty Deed

So... Doing everything as cleanly as possible I set about to give my self a Reverse Prince Albert piercing. I bought sterile 10 gauge needles from an online shop sterilized and sealed in an autoclave package. I made a receiving tube out of 316 stainless steel, 1/4" in diameter. I drilled it out on the lathe and rounded the ends. I then polished it to a mirror finish using 2400 grit sand paper. It looks perfect.

I cleaned and sanitized as best as I could withought an autoclave. I used boiling water and isopropyl. I sat down and put down towels to catch any blood if there was any. I then decided where I wanted the piercing, which was equidistant from the tip as the PA. I measured and marked it with a disposable permanent marker. I removed my PA ring ( a 2 ga circular barbell) and inserted the tube thought the hole. I lined up the tube with the mark and pushed the needle through. There really was no pain as it when though the "meat", though I did jump when it went though the urethra wall. The ring I decided to use was a 3/4" 10 ga captive bead. I put the tip of the ring on the end of the needle and passed it through the needle exiting the PA hole and the RPA exiting the tip of the penis. I put the ball in place and replaced the PA (2ga, 5/8"). I then cleaned up and wrapped it in gauze. It was done!

Aftercare:

It has been about 3 months now. I used sea salt water soaks and I never has a problem in healing. Bleeding was a minimum. For about the first three or four days it bled a little. I kept it wrapped in gauze until it mostly stopped. I bought some hawaiian sea salt from the grocery store where I work and used about 1 tsp per 500ml of water. I used a 500ml beaker to soak in and I would pass the ring though as it soaked to get rid of the "crustys". It still produces a little to this day but it is going down each week as it finishes healing. I think about another month and it will be done healing. It was sore for about a week.

It was sore for about 2 weeks, mostly due to a too large diameter ring. And much to my surprise there was absolutely no pain during urination. I almost never drink anything but water so it kept the urine pretty much acid free., I guess.

Problems:

There were a couple of minor problems.

First, was the ring was too large in diameter It got pushed around too easily. After two weeks I had enough and bought a 8 ga, 5/8" TI ring. I wore this for about a month and decided it was too large too. I am now at a 8 ga 1/2" ring and I don't think I am going to change it.

Second, A 10 or 8 ga ring is just to much metal. The backpressure was amazing when I urinated. I have since sized down my PA to a 4ga that matches the RPA. It really looks great.

Third thing is underwear. Absolutely do not wear tighter underwear for several months. I made this mistake and it irritated the piercing, In fact the best underwear I have found is the jet brief of jet thong from http://www.bodyaware.com. It keeps everything separated and dry. Plus it lets the air in too.

Since this piercing I have done a couple more, but I will same those for later.

Oh, one last thing. After doing this you can pretty much forget about standing and urinating. It can be done though, just takes practice.
