Addicted to piercing |

Ever since I was a kid, I have had a thing for piercing. When I was 5 or 6 I would lock myself away in my room with a safety pin and play with piercing my skin on my arm. I stopped doing that when it became a little hard to explain the marks on my arms as thorn scratches or stings etc.For about 10 years I didn't really think too much more about it, until I was at high school and saw my first pierced belly button. Well, that just started me off all over again, and I knew I just had to get something pierced. At the time I was too young (although here in NZ piercers are more relaxed about age restrictions), so I had to put it off until I was old enough. Then by the time I was 18 I was with someone who would have had a heart attack at the thought of a piercing of any sort (let alone what I wanted :)), so I put it off again. In the meantime, I finally got internet access, and after about 2 months, I found BME!! JOY! I finally realised that there were lots more people out there who enjoyed piercing, and that I wasn't alone. It was a real buzz reading the experiences of otheres who had actually got all these piercings I had been thinking of, but didn't even realise existed. The first time I saw a PA, I thought 'I have to get one of them'.
Well, last week I got sick of putting it off. I couldn't afford the $100 or so a professional piercing would have cost, so I decided to do it myself. I knew from reading other experiences on BME that a permanent piercing was generally best left to those who know what they are doing, but I wasn't going to put it off any longer. I decided that even if I couldn't have a permanent piercing, I could at least for a few minutes have a hole through some part of me. I decided that since I liked PAs so much, I would go for that sort of piercing.
My girlfriend has a friend who works in a hospital, and I got her to get a 14 gauge needle and antiseptic for me. Well, yesterday she came round after work and dropped off the stuff for me. I was really nervous. Now I had *no* excuses left, so I decided just to go ahead and do it. I locked myself in the bathroom, and stripped off. Now, I really had no idea what I was doing (you're probably reading this and playing 'spot-all-the-things-you-shouldn't-do'), and I had no idea where to start. I started by cleaning the head of my penis with the antiseptic. First mistake. It STUNG! Still, I kept going, figuring some stinging now was better than an infection later. Then I grabbed the needle, took off its protective sleeve, and prepared myself. Just as I was about to begin, I changed my mind about the PA and decided to go for the opposite (reverse-PA, I think?). It held open the little opening at the end, and relying on my steady hand, began to slide the needle down it. When I had gone about 1 cm down it, I angled the needle up until I felt it touch skin. I figured if I delayed now, I'd probably chicken out, so i just angled it up more and pushed. Well, I have to say it was the most painful thing I've ever felt, but it was WORTH IT! When I was done, there was almost no blood, and I had a shiny steel needle through my dick! After about 20 minutes of just looking at it and playing with it, I had to take it out. That hurt like hell as well, but when it was out there was almost no pain, just a gentle throbbing.
Its now almost 24 hours later, and there has been no problem with it (here's hoping there never will be!). I put more antiseptic on it immediately after I took the needle out, and although it stung it should help stop and infection. I'm so glad I actually did it! I still can't believe I pushed a steel needle thorough my dick. Wow. In a few weeks when I get some more money, I'm going to go to a professional and get it done permanently. I'm also thinking of getting my nipples done, but I'll have to wait and see.
Apologies for rambling so much - I've just noticed this is a LONG post - but I just wanted to tell everyone about what I'd done. Maybe I'll write in a few weeks about my permanent piercing - I promise it'll be shorter and less boring.
:)
