If it were not the BME site, I would never thought of getting a piercing, especially on my penis. Two years ago, I come across to the BME site once, the pictures of all the piercing did not get my interests, and I thought it would gruesome to piercing one's penis. This March, I unexpectedly hit on the BME site again. However, this time, I looked through all the pictures of the piercing, and read every article listed on the BME site and bodyart Faq. Especially, after I red Keith Alexander's article, I started to thinking to get a genital piercing for me. Thanks to Shannon, during the March, I was able to look all pictures of the piercing, which helped me to decided which piercing I would get. The reasons I choice reverse PA is follows, I want to have a ball on top of my glans, I thought of frenum with a loop, but because I am uncut, I was afraid that would cause problems. I thought of apadravaya also, but I do not want a PA whole. So my choice is left to be reverse PA. But I do not want to have a ring on the glans, so I was thinking a barbell bent at 90 degree, not regularly curved one.
I then looked through all jeweler manufacture sites list on bodyart faq, I can not find a barbell I want. So I had to custom order one. I firstly called Guntelet, I was told the bent barbell is a good idea for reverse PA and regular PA. Since a CBR or curved barbell will put pressure on the tissue because the piercing is a straight path. Only The Goodart will take my order and promised to deliver in two weeks. I finally received the barbell on 6-11-98.
Through email, I have contacted with Kent, he told me he has only done one reverse PA and he is confident to do another one. So as soon as I got my barbell, I contacted Kent for the piercing. The piercing was done during evening of 6-12-93. When I arrived at Kent's studio, he was with anothercustomer, when he finished with the other customer, he checked my barbell, and he said he never pierced with a barbell like my. I then asked how he would do the piercing, he told me he will use free hand piercing from inside urethra to the top. But I was afraid if he makes adjustments during piercing, I will get scar. After the barbell was autoclaved, he measured the barbell and my anatomy to check if the barbell is long enough or not. Then I asked him to piercing from top of the glans to the urethra with a receiving tube. He did this way. The pain of the actual piercing was very intense, not to a degree to let me scream, it lasted less than a minute, putting the barbell in did not hurt as much as piercing. He then told me to lay down as long as I feel comfortable. After about 5 minutes, I get up and left. After a little over one hour driver, I peed first time it did not hurt at all.
The first night sleep was really bad, I kept bleeding for the night, although the bleeding was not that bad. Kent had told me I will bleed for 3 to 5 days. I only slept for 2 hours for the night. Today, I have washed with sea salt water for twice, there are still some bleeding but not as bad at all. When my piercing is healed, I will take a picture and send to the BME.
