So on my trip to Canada, Vancouver precisely, which I try and make every year. I wanted to get either tattooed or pierced, but since I only had the one piercing now retired, I decided to go with the piercing.

They looked all right and they were friendly and helpful. I asked a few questions and they answered them for me, I think everyone at Anatomical is an IAMer as well. Which was quite cool.
I asked them about having my pubic done, and was shown the sort of jewellery they use, I was advised on a surface bar. It was interesting, this staple shaped piece of metal which was going to be put inside of me. I was quite nervous to say the least, how were they going to put it in and how on earth would I remove it if I wanted to at a later date. I was worried because of its shape, but they explained it was easy to put in and easy to pull out.
I went off after having talked to some of the people in the studio and was thinking how painful would it be and do I want it, or not. I knew I wanted it because its one of the piercing that I have always liked. Not being very knowledgeable I did not know it would not be a good idea to have a ring for the jewellery. I always like the idea of having a ring, more so than a bar, in fact especially more than a surface bar because of the end result of what you can see.
So now a few days have passed and I m thinking I really want to go get the piercing done, straight away. I head down to Anatomical and meet a piercer there called Lysa, she seemed really nice and we talked and I really did wanted to have it done right there and then. Only one problem Lysa did not have the right jewellery for me which meant It was not possible to have it done. Lysa had surface bars but she wanted one that was bigger as she thought it would be better. I was thinking damn it, I really want it now, but I was not going to go against her advice, that would be stupid. I ordered the surface bar and then just waited till it would arrive a few days later.
Of course now I had a few days to wait and let the anxiety build up in me and to wait for the jewellery to be made for me. I felt quite special, the idea that a piece of jewellery was going to be made specifically for me. Along with thoughts of how much is this going to hurt because my nipple piercing hurt a lot, I was also having thoughts that do I really want it, of course I had paid a deposit of $30 dollars for surface bar, I should not waste the money. I wanted it as well, not just because of the deposit, I wanted to be pierced, for me it would be different, where I am from, no-one I know has any piercings in unusual places, let alone near my penis. A lot of the people I know who do have piercings have their ears done, but the genitals, that's completely different.
Its the day for my piercing, the surface bar has arrived and I am nervous, really nervous. I get on the bus to the studio on Granville and have butterflies in my stomach. Not only was I about to get pierced but I was going to have a girl looking at my pecker. Other things then start going through my mind at that stage; will the piercing be done in a private room or open to the public like some tattoo studios, will she think my penis is small, or what happens if I get an erection. Oh well, here goes, no going back now.
Lysa takes me into the private room, where we have a little talk and she explains that this is her first pubic piercing, "its a first for both of us then I think." Lysa starts to tell me that she wants to do the piercing, with the punch and taper method, which I have no idea about. Lysa explains to me that it is (if I remember correctly) a biopsy dermal punch, and that it goes down into the body. I asked how far and she says about ¼" which to me sounds a huge amount, I was thinking fuck, that's a long way to push that thing in. After she punches, she somehow separates the skin underneath from the flesh and puts the bar in.
Now I am nervous, I have to take my trousers and pants down and hop up onto this operating table. I was funnily enough all right lying there with my pants round my ankles, Lysa was very professional, I asked her to wait till I had gone before laughing and was quite nice not to laugh at the size of my cock. Anyway, Lysa spent a good ten minutes marking out where the piercing should go, and it was really pleasing to know that she would take all the time she needed just to get the markings exactly right, just in the right position.
It was time, now was the moment that I had waited for, the hole making moment. That's it, it was done and dusted, straight in and out so to say. It was painful but did not last long and as soon as the job was done the pain was gone, it did not hurt at all afterwards, It looked really nice and I was very pleased.
I would definitely recommend anatomical adornments to people, I had a very good experience there, and was delighted with the way I was treated. A thumbs up to them.
