First off, still living with my parents I was FORBIDDEN to get anything pierced. I came home once with a 12 gauge in my ear and you would have thought I started World War Three.
Well anyway, my girlfriend and I where browsing BME and stumbled upon the pubic piercing. I've never heard of it before and talked it over with my girlfriend about the possible pros and cons. I talked to my local piercing studio to get some more information about it. I compiled quite a bit of facts about it from artists, BE stories, and also the vast abundance of information available on the internet from people around the world. After weighing them out we both decided it would be a pretty good idea and might pose some sexual uses too. Since we are both willing to try just about anything, I decided to do it. Getting this done and talking it over with our mate is a HUGE deal. This piercing will hinder your love life for a while and might freak some women out.
So we went out to the mall to a place that sold everything from smoking accessories, to plugs, to oils, posters, you know the kind of story I'm talking about. They also had a piercing section that you could by forceps, needles, barbells, videos, cleaners, ect. I bought a 14 gauge needle and a barbell with regular balls and one with small vibrating balls- supposed to be used for a tongue but I had other plans.
We went home and I got the area shaved and ready to go. I marked the area in the mirror. I layer on the bed and hold on tight. We both have piercing experience, nothing professional but we've both done a few on each other and others. She clamped the area- after cleaning and sterilizing everything- and pushed the needle through. It burned like hell because she forgot to take the rubbing alcohol out from the hollow needle so my crotch was on fire for about 5 seconds. After screaming like a little girl she got the barbell through and the balls on. The placement was perfect.
I admired it in the mirror for over an hour. It was red for a few days. Once thing is sex was off the list for the next 3 weeks. There was always a change of damaging something before it healed so I was not willing to take the chance. Bruising was also another problem. Every time I got an erection, the area would swell up and turn an ugly blue / green color. I called my local piercing studio and they told me it was perfectly normal for that area- that is after scolding me for not letting them do it professionally- but at a teen $60 for a piercing is a little much especially in you are under 18. The bruising and swelling went away after the 3 week period and I soon became unaware it was even there.
I let is sit for about 4 weeks- cleaning numerous times- I have a little bottle of alcohol with me at all times. I cleaned it at work, school, pretty much once every 4 hours.
Doing normal things was a big problem the first few weeks however. I was VERY aware that it was there so I was careful in everything. Some activities I stayed away from because of the fear of something happening. Sleeping not hard, but I changed my sheets once every 3 days to help keep infection away. Showering was normal, just had to be careful of that one area and clean it extra well. Getting dressed was my biggest fear. Everything from boxers to belts had to be put on slowly and I had to be aware of what I was going. I changed my boxers twice a day to keep the area clean. I went through a lot of cloths and sheet during this time. I had to keep the area neat and trimmed. Many steps where taken to keep the area from getting infected.
Then I replaced it with the vibrating one. Let me tell you, if you're not doing this piercing for yourself, do it for her. This is one of the greatest piercings for her pleasure. She loved it.
I had it for over 4 months when one day at work I was taking a seat out of one of our racecars and it got caught- I was wearing a pair of those nylon gym shorts with no boxers. The pain was AWFUL! There was no damage to my penis though, except a large bump scar. I loved this piercing so much and felt like a part art of me was gone. I still miss it.
