Pubic piercings

One of my earlier piercings was a pair of pubic piercings. I'm writing this account some YEARS after the events so its not fresh in my mind. If I've got the names right, a pubic piercing is one of those flesh piercings through the tissue over the pubis (i.e. groin area). I chose this piercing as I was looking for something a little intimate and erotic.

I think I'd been doing research on BME to try and learn about these piercings and everything I read suggested they were beautiful to look at. Mine were to be positioned in the pubic pad just above where my penis extends, arranged horizontally, and one above the other. (imagine a equals sign = )

I contacted my local piercer and explained what I wanted, but as he was more a tattoo specialist (doing piercing as a sideline) he explained he'd need some time to do some research and to get the jewellery. He felt that getting specially adapted jewellery would reduce the probability of rejection. When the day came he showed me the pieces and each were shaped a bit like a staple (i.e. the bead screwed onto a short stem, a ninety degree angle and a longer length of bar, another ninety degree angle and another short stem and finally the bead.) Thus the long bar would be parallel to (and beneath) the skin and the beads would project above the surface where they would be visible.

I had already shaved an area of my pubic hair to allow easy cleaning and work at the piercing site, so got my pants to my ankles and laid back on the padded table. He marked the entry and exit points for the needle with a pen (and first mistake here) didn't quite get the centre line correct (I guess it was difficult working from the side. My tip for future piercings? Mark a centre line from the belly button to the penis using a ruler first!

It probably wasn't out by much as I didn't notice the markings were more to one side of my body than the other but there may also have been some distortion in the skin when I got up on my elbow to see where the marks were.

Next there was a tiny bit of freeze spray. Not enough for me to not feel the needle as he pushed it through but there was definitely cold. Putting the jewellery through after was more painful than the original piercing needle. Then the beads were attached and it was finished. (It turned out to be little more complicated than a belly piercing, I guess). The short stems projected maybe three mm above the skin (and then the beads were on the end).

I had a quick look, and yes, they were both slightly too far to my right side, but I decided it wasn't going to be that noticable. An adhesive bandage was applied over the area (I don't think there was much blood, it was more to protect me from bruising/ catching the stems when dressed). Remember how earlier I wrote "first mistake"? Wrong, my first mistake was not shaving a large enough area of my pubic hair. The adhesive bandage was applied to an area, INCLUDING the unshaved bit (ouch when removing the bandage later). Tip for future piercings? Shave the pubic area completely!

So bandaged up, and dressed I went home, quite happy. Later that evening, out drunk, someone insisted on coming home with me ("err.. I've just been pierced.. I'm not up for anything I'm really bruised "– And I was) The pubic pad had bruised and the tissue around the piercing site had swelled up. But she came home with me anyway. Got naked, in bed, kissing and cuddling and feeling horny but no sex. Having a sexy naked woman in bed with me finally got the better of my and a had a sly wank over her while she slept very selfish, I know!)

Next morning I wake up, she'd pulled the covers back and was staring at my jewellery like "what the fuck?" Basically it did look weird (rectangle of pubic hair shaved away, two TV antennae sticking out of my groin above my penis) Oh, well I did warn her!

Well the bruising subsided and I thought, great. Now for an account of the after piercing experience, which may be the more important.

My pubic piercings looked phenominal! I went to a clothing optional beach and got a lot of attention for them (or maybe it was just my body lol,.. I don't know for sure, but people did ask about them and I did hear camera shutters going off) So that was the good part.

The less than good part was the reduction in my libido and sexual pleasure.. (what? You may be asking!)

Well, if you ever get to look at an acupuncture chart you will see that one of the meridians (or nerve lines) runs down the body to the genitals, and unfortunately the pubic piercings must have been placed in a location too near that meridian. (or perhaps any piercing in that area will produce this issue). I don't think the nerve was actually cut by the piercing, but perhaps the presence of the foreign body (the jewellery) near the meridian caused a reduction in nerve transmission. The result was as hinted to before, a reduction in libido, and less pleasure during sex, and maybe as a result of few impulses travelling up through the nerve from my penis to my brain, a "longer fuse" – it could take MUCH longer to come, and a weaker erection! So not that great then! (Although they did look great!)

Eventually the jewellery did get rejected (the piece closer to the base of my penis months after the one further away). I actually removed the later longer lasting one because as it grew into the upper skin layers the irritation at the site got stronger. As soon as I did remove it, I felt the "energy" flowing freely again (instantly got that horny feeling, had a full proper erection, and fully enjoyed masturbating to a beautiful highly enjoyable orgasm).

Thus in conclusion, pubic piercings look great, but (in my case anyway) can result in lower sexual performance and less pleasure, So I'm not planning and getting them again. They might suit someone who wants to suppress their sexual response, maybe?
