First let me intoduce myself: I am a 30 years old male from the Southwest part of Germany. I am the owner of several bodyart, such as lobe, nipple, navel and hafada piercings and three tattoos.

I have been thinking about a pubic piercing for a long time, so I did some researches in the web and in a german speaking bodyart newsgroup. Most of the experiences told about the risk of growing out but I decides to try it.
I used to have three navel piercings, one in the center of the bottom of my navel and two at the upper side. These two ones looked like a "V" but the one on the left side grew out so I decided to get it re-done.
I had to travel to a town near Cologne, Germany, for a meeting my boss sent me to. From the German bodyart newsgroup de.rec.bodyart I already knew Sira. Together with her boyfriend Tobias she is the owner of the piercing studio Magic Metal (www.magicmetal.de) at Cologne. One of the other regulars of de.rec.bodyart has been there before and told only good things about the studio so I made an appointment there.
Yesterday I went there. First we talked for a while about piercing, tattoos, bad piercing artists and other stuff. Then it was my time. I wanted both of the piercings done with a jewellery diameter of 2.0 mm (I don't know how much gauge this is, sorry).
As I already had a navel piercing at that place I have sent the old banana barbell to Magic Metal some days before because I wanted the jewellery to be recycled. *g* Tobias did a really good job, it did not not hurt very much although he had to pierce behind the scar of the grown out piercing.
After that it was time for the pubic piercing. Tobias told me that this kind of piercings grows out very often but I still wanted to try it. He also told me that he will use a very long surface barbell to protect me against growing out as good as possible. He already had prepared a barbell with a length of 18.0 mm. Both ends of the barbell were in a 45 degree ankle. The surface barbell lookek like this:

I was a little bit scared because I did not knew how Tobias would put this really very long barbell with those two ankles inside this really flat piercing.
Before going to the studio I had already prepared myself and had shaved my pubic area. When I made my appointment Sira had told me to look for the right position while having an erection and so I did. Usually I do other things at that time *eg* I showed the position toTobias after he cleanes the area. He then marked the position of the piercing and told me to look into the mirror. The position was okay and so I had to lay back again.
The piercing itself was really interesting. Tobias usually works without clamps (he did both of my piercings without a clamp - and that is very good because I do not like that feeling of the clamp). It hurt a little bit when the needle went in and another time when it went out. But it did not hurt at all when the needle made her way through the flesh. It was only a very strange and very funny experience to feel something moving under the skin without any pain.
After putting the new hole in my body Tobias put in the jewellery. As I already told I was a little bit nervous because of the two ankles at the surface barbell. But the jewellery went in very easy and I did not feel any pain at all. Usually putting in the jewellery is not so nice but at this time it was really painless. When Tobias told me that he had finished I could not believe it at all. But then I went to the mirror and there it was - my new pubic piercing. It really looked great.
When the work was finished we talked again. It was a really friendly and nice atmosphere. And now I know I have not been at Magic Metal for the last time. I will come again for some other piercings. Actually I do not know what go get pierced next. Because of my job I cannot wear any facial piercings so I have to get some invisible ones.

Actually both of my new piercings are about 27 hours old and they look really fine, no blood and no crusties. I hope this will last for long. Please keep your fingers crossed for me. ;-)
Perhaps I will write another experience when the new piercings will do his first job (for example about my feelings with the new piercing or about my girlfriend's feelings with it).
